  • This has always been a smooth song, from the keyboard intro, the sax, 2 al's super laid back vocal. It's just good music to iron ur clothes by.

  • Bland melody with a boring vocal. The big over the top sax solo seems somewhat out of place.

  • so many moms and dads are gone, but yet, we are left, to what............ To carry on there memory, and guidance.. :Time ,, Passages.. Yearn for the old days, yet, so looking forward to what life has instore for me now.............. Peace ^5

  • I have only 20 years, the music fascinated me, she is to listen and if you only have 20 years I would love to have lived during the 70 80 years ago it was very good weather and good music this is horrible today as I listen and it's very sad the younger children listen to bad music and listen to the nonsense look horrible nudity, the world is still bad and people are corrupt, I would like that everything is as beautiful as music and there was never a war. Regards from Serbia

  • When Itunes first came out, I downloaded this twice by mistake. The woman said, "who would download Time Passages twice??"

  • This song reminds me of when I was a teenager, and when my dad and my mom were around the same age as I am today. Mom and dad are both gone. Life is to short.

  • Al was never a member of the Alan Parsons project. Alan Parsons produced some of Als albums.

  • I first heard this incredible song in 1979 on T.W.A. on my way to Paris. Why is it that I can`t get this very MAGICAL song away from me. I listen to it every sunday . AL Stewert thank you indeed.

  • BACK pass-ages

  • thank you! an Iconic song for sure!

  • I was a senior in HighSchool during The Year of The Cat (1977) so glad to have experienced the music of my time.

  • i love this song <3 !!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great song and performed here rather faithfully. As always a top sax accompaniment/counterpoints. Classic stuff!

  • Find me a ticket on the last train home tonight, to the 80's. Oh how I miss those times. Cassete tapes clogged in car stereos, a VW beetle and a world to conquer, hearing this song...

  • the sax dude just blows everyone else off the stage

  • When I was kid my mom played Al Stewart on our RECORD PLAYER (LOL) all the time and we danced and danced. I was blessed to not only have my mom as a kid but amazing music as well. :)

  • this was my fav on the album! Right after I went in the military in 1976 played the heck out it in my room on base.

  • Good singer, good songwriters and music by the band. The singer also looks nearly exactly the same, sounds good and looks healthy. These are still good soothing songs. It was nice of them to share. Someone was kind to think of sharing this for us.

  • Good singer, good songwriters and music by the band. The singer also looks nearly exactly the same, sounds good and looks healthy. These are still good soothing songs.

  • Good singer, good songwriters and music by the band.

  • was never a fan of this song by al ( i seem to remember reading he didnt enjoy it) al had so many great albums past present future the four cbs albums early on modern times and of course year of the cat always a fav....

  • Music is that thing in which we lock in the experiences of our lives. In the 70s, I was in my twenties. My musical likes have not changed nor have I grown tired of these great songs. In fact, I may be fonder of them now.

  • I was in kindergarten when Year of the Cat came out. Love Al Stewart. And this song too. Neil Tennant sounds so like him. Maybe part of the reason why I also love Pet Shop Boys.

  • This song reminds me of being a child, my dad barbequing and the smells of summer breezing in and out of the windows. It was the first song on the Album that would always be playing throughout the house :) I love it! Thanks for sharing :)

  • The Sax player looks remarkably like the Sax player in Baker Street....can anyone confirm?

  • @TheWilliambinder

The sax player on Baker Street was Raf Ravenscroft. The one here is Dave Camp. So no they are not the same person.

  • @vrandar But both are sure really good. The sax kind of says something all of its own.

  • I had forgotten about this classic until I saw this here! A real gem indeed! Thanks for the share - made my night! :-)

  • A great theme and very well played. Give me five Al...

  • Wow! Does anyone else think that the alto sax player Dave Camp has an uncanny resemblance to the great alto sax legend David Sanborn (circa 1980s), or is it just me that think he does?

  • wow love him!

  • He was big. Lets see in the late 60's and 70's he was revered in his industry for his folk rock tallent. He was best friends with Yoko ono before she met John Lennon and was a roomate of Paul Simon during Simos London years. He has made of >20 albums and was a member of the Alan Parson project. He has worked with every major English musican from Jimmy Page to Sting. And while Yes he is not as Rich as Rod the Bod..He is likly not hurting. Look for a tour. He still palys sold out shows.

  • @ruby055 They are smaller venues now, but they are awesome---AND affordable! I love to hear his new songs, which are every bit as good as those from his Year of the Cat days.

  • THE SAX PLAYER STOLEN THE SHOW.GREAT MUSIC

  • yea.. &>>>?

  • very talented singer-songwriter. should have been bigger

  • This song has such a magical, ethereal quality. It makes me realize that some aspects of one's life should be cherished as they come, for they will never return, except in one's remembrances.

  • @Unidente02 Well said!

  • Reminds me of Dianne my first love.

  • Muy buena música del recuerdo la ejecución es como cuando apareció por primera vez por los 77 y el saxofonista es espectacular, muy buena ejecución de instrumentos.

  • "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,[f] that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.[

  • Dejaview

  • was this a hit in the late 70s ???

  • @Aqene1000 This was a top ten hit for Al Stewart in 1978 as I recall - still sounds the same - sweet and well-timbred vocals.

  • I am also ashamed of music today

The Sax player has my heart here....

  • Always goosebumps when I hear this song. Al Stewart...genius.

  • Oh yeah...the sax...what ever happened to such awesome music with an awesome instrument.

  • Great song, great artist. I have been an Al Stewart fan since I first heard Year of the cat. He has some great songs.

  • Two Stewarts from Scotland..one made billions..the other made great music.

    Bravo Al Stewart!

  • Nothing against Rod, mind you, but good call. He's got the talent for selling music, Al's got the talent for crafting it.

  • So true. I'm a fan of Rod. He puts on a great show. I met him at the opening night party for "The Boy From Oz"..he's a nice chap.

  • @tallpaul521 Listen to Rod Stewert's early music such as Mandolin Wind or Glad Rags & Handbags or Gasoline Alley. Rod started out doing very, very good music. Then he hit his sell-out disco phase. When artists get cheesy commercial, I refer to it as their "Rod Stewert disco phase."

  • @tallpaul521 Well said!!! So true.

  • good one!
