dont underestimate the power of kreator! they started it all in germany after the thrash metal scene hit in the 80's. ive always loved to see certain bands longevity and influence they have given to every other band out there. mille petrozza is right up there with hetfield/hammett, mustaine and...himself!. gary holt, you name it. a true metal god! kreator should be inducted into the hall of fame, really! been around since 84'.

@ makintosz1992...metallica opened the floodgates for everything metal back in 86' with master of puppets, but wouldnt have gotten the exposure if it wasnt for ozzy taking them out on there 1st world tour. BUT! i will say that while metallica enjoyed the rewards, it was exodus who started it all with the bay erea thrash scene. they just never got jumpstarted cuz there album was put on the shelf for 2 yrs before being released. (bonded). imagine that if it was exo instead of metallica...hmmm

I love how Kreator uses the English language far better than most American bands. For example, Slayer lyrics remind me of something an angry 15 year old would write. I would know, considering the fact that I just so happen to be an angry 15 year old. Mille Petrozza has got to be the most brilliant lyricist in the entire metal genre.

dont say metallica is over rated... kill em all is the foundation for many, also ''coma of souls'' album. Metallica was my first band... i even remember when i heard them for the first time. Of course they got much worse. Maybe if Cliff was with still alive they wouldnt have changed that much... Kreator style has changed over the years but you're right on one point, many german bands, even with some improvements, just stay the way they were at the beginning - in my opinion.

Yes Mile Petrozza lost savagery big time concerning his voice and yes they improved their style/their way to play big time as well if you compare albums like "Endless pain" and "Extreme aggression". I like both styles anyways

@Ajepson2 i hate when compare german bands with american. i would compare Kreator's Terrible Certainty to Coma of Sous albums to another technical german band like Paradox. Endless Pain to Pleasure to Kill compare to Sodom's albums after Obsessed with Cruelty. Slayer got bad after Hell Awaits in my opinion. Show No Mercy to me is like the golden album, untouchable no matter what anybody says. So if you do want to compare Kreator to Slayer including Show No Mercy? Kreator loses every time.
