@tres311 I am a christian and all, but this preacher doesn't know how to talk to people. Just spewing to people they are going to hell and such isn't gonna work at getting people to believe the message. People have already heard the gospel anyhow and there's more to it than that. Yeah there is a lot of rebellion amongst the youth, but the church hasn't been the example they are supposed to be, they have not been the lights they are supposed to be.
give crazy christians like this some slack people. the guys trying to help save you from a eternal life in hell, even if hes really stupid and doesn't know crap.
this was an interesting day. the southern preacher just kept talking about sodomy and marijuana. maverick seemed rather upset and the lacrosse player just wanted to get some breathing room to share.
we had a guy like this at U of I in Champaign/Urbana. they always talk in absolute terms of behavior whereas the bible talks in terms of principles. E.g., regarding sexuality, the theme of the bible is, if you conform your life to reality, then your sexual passions will follow. It doesn't say, if you are attracted to the same sex, then you just repress those desires. agree or disagree, true Christianity does not get a fair hearing from most street preachers.
