  • then mine is too small /watch?v=xaW_JC5AVm4 :(

  • This should be in a nice display tank. NOT IN THST SHITTY OLD CABINET.

  • I've seen this in an aquarium in chicago

  • Probably got ripped out from the ocean

  • dang only if it was a pretty color

  • Now you wanna be creful when purchasing this as it posseses 500 inch sweeper tentacles in everydirection, eats all fish within four miles, requires sunlight, needs to be injected with steroids daily, and has been known to occasionally climb out of tanks and devour it's sleeping owner. Feed four children to it every week. It only eats the souls but it is to hard to pry those out.... Uh huh. okay.. ya. I see. OH I dont know. I can give it to you for around 60 bucks with two starter children...

  • I live 1 block from the store where the coral is and yes they still have it. They have to trim it up every couple of months. The woman tells me they cut off about 45lbs every time they do that. Not sure if they sell frags though. Anyone want to see another video?

  • Eh, I recant that. Can't really judge size too well from the video and it is definitely massive.

  • Eh, I call bull. I've seen tanks on reef central with 3x3 colonies

  • you could fund a entire tank with that hammer

  • @corallite I wonder if this coral still exists and how large it is now. Could you follow up for another video?

  • Can you say the mother of all mother colonies?

  • hey i think its fragging time!!!!!!!!!!!!! where the clippers at?

  • what song is this playing in the background??

  • Wow, a walling hammer even, I wouldve thought a branching one would be largest.

  • haha how much would that cost?

  • all i see is $_$

  • Absolutly Beautiful :D

  • was this grown in captivity? beautiful piece, remarkable the size they can grow

  • thats huge!

  • will you sell frags???

  • Not the largest in Captivity.

The Long Beach Aquarium has a hammer that is about 6 times larger.

The Wikiki aquarium has a hammer that is also much larger than this one.

It is a nice hammer though.

  • and that fish gets it all by himself! XD

  • awesome...

  • it needs stronger light

  • @brett35540

    moar=better

    :P

  • dude imagine if it got brown jelly disease! haha that would be horrible...

  • do you think you would ever be able to transfer it to a igger tank or is it to heavy or sumthing?

  • HI how do hammer corals grow? what kind of light do u use for this hammer coral? does this tank has a sump in it?

  • The LARGEST?? His size is fucking impressive, but.......

Here in Brazil, there´s a hammer biggest than this one.... 0.o

  • dude thats totally what she said

  • wow. Pretty impressive. How long have you been growing it?

  • @blackfishblackfish that's what she said!

  • @isyourmamaallama dude awsome

  • imagine if that was all red hornet zoas... he be a millionaire

  • AMAZING!

  • that is a huge hammer coral, love it!

  • lots of frags!!

  • Amazing Coral.

I love the music too. How much Calcium would it take from the water?

  • Man thats a big hammer!!!!

  • Time to frag that monster up!

  • can i have a piece ....lol....nice coral tho. love tha tank

  • this is amazing it is so big you can barley see the little hammers it just looks like a big bunch 5 stars :)

  • you guys are all retarded to argue about a youtube video of a truely nice coral.....get a life........

  • not the biggest in the world. The ocean has some 1,000 times bigger.

  • in captivity dumbass! not the ocean.

  • your pretty dumb

  • your pretty dumb to believe him.

  • im not going to argue with an idiot.

  • ditto on that.

  • did u take that out of the ocean urself? i hope it has enough flow in the tank cus it looks like its jammed in there

  • why frag such an amazing thing, it would ruin the record anyways.

  • frag that bitch already

  • lol

  • if you fragged that you could make a fortune!

  • nice :)_

  • wow thats freaking huge 0.0

  • In the sidebar, it says that it was cut in half which obviously means it was once twice this size.

  • Gorgeous!

  • how big is the tank

  • its a 150 gallon tank...

  • Is this an orange hammer or is it just the lights that make it look orange?

  • not the biggest in the world... have a look at david saxby's or other monster aquariums lol still nice tough

  • this is a very large hammer. "But not the largest in captivity. Theres a shop in florida that has one twice that size.. " no lie.been growing in there tank for almost 12 years.

  • That is to a hammer coral you dipshit, Learn your reef's before ya go and post stupid ass comments on someones vid

  • FRAG IT!!! :P

  • Your statement that this is not a hammer coral is absolutely ignorant.

  • can you prove it is a hammer coral? :P

  • Well yes i can.. if you read the video info you would have seen that this coral was cut in half.. So think if it wasnt ever cut..how big would it be then?

  • wow thats is amazing!

  • Iv Got One About A Foot across But Thats A Stonker! Good Job.

  • Cool,can I have a frag?

  • awsome

  • clown fish would have an orgy in there

  • umm clown fish host in anemones

  • clown fish are known to host in anything, including powerheads. Talk to some real reefers and you will hear the truth. :)

  • just saying, i own a 150 gallon reef tank, im sure it would host it, and i know because i had a saddle back clown that hosted a buch of golve polyps. but they usually prefer anemones. and as soon as i put in a rose bubble tip anemone it ditched the polyps and went to the anemone, but thanks,im sure alot of other people would be quite suprised at that fact 8)

  • learn to read and relax

  • i dived over ones the size of cars!...but thats big for an aquarium!

  • wow it huge

  • Amazing! I bet the calcium in that tank is crazy high!!

  • how you two can say that this as a tank is boring is beyond me. it's abnormal in the hobby but seriously think about how stunted your little box of frags is compared to this. and people call 12 heads a 'mother colony'. don't worry though, i'll likely fall victim to the temptation of keeping a box of frags myself...

  • jeez, get butthurt much? It is pretty boring for an entertianing sense. Its just one big lump of start white coral...Reef tanks are loved for their colorful beauty

  • cool for a shop but this is what I try to keep from happening in my reef at home. Diversity in my tank is what makes it interesting day after day....

  • You are absolutely right, the coral is amazing but as a tank it is pretty boring

  • @corallite ah id say its a beautiful tank. looks like a dead simple idea and with some colourful fish i think it could look a bit better!

  • @roccospizacco yah in MY opinyon they should put it

in a very large tank with lots of other corals, invertabrats, and fish!

  • I had hammer coral that wouldn't stop growing I bet mine can get that big if I don't frag them.

  • If you would take half a second to read the DESCRIPTION you would come know that this coral is captive grown, over 17 yrs old.

  • I agree it's very cool, but the one in Waikiki Aquarium is huge.

  • That's an amazing hammer coral! But, there's a piece at least twice as big as that in the Waikiki Aquarium on Oahu (Hawaii).

  • the waikiki aquarium uses natural light and water, this aquarium is in the middle of the country so it is the largest hammer coral in a closed aquarium system.

  • how much watts is over that thing

  • probably like 1 or 2

  • you're a goon.

im betting it's one or two MH lights though

  • 5-6 4 foot vhos, or about 600 watts.

  • @corallite wow thats really not that bad.

  • The Info for this said it was taken 2 years after it was cut in 1/2 where did the other 1/2 go ? or was it cut up into numerous full colonies? Nice I think i will look them up buy a piece.

  • i find it hard to believe the largest hammer coral in captivity is at a petshop in denver...but hey maybe

  • this is amazing. what size tank is that? and where is the music from (I kind of liked it). How much do you think that particular piece is worth? thanks for the vid by the way.

  • Yes I made this video recording at Neptune's which is an aquarium shop in Denver CO.

  • wow very cool did you record this ? is it at a pet store?
