@Extramark9 I disagree. I've played for 20 years and love the likes of Vai, AL di Meola, becker et al but I'd say Slash is a fantastic guitarist. He's not as technical as some but there's a real fluidity to his stuff when he's clearly just improvising that's excellent.

Sure, he's not very technical, fast (shred-wise), and he doesn't venture out of his major scales very often, but some people enjoy his music, and although he may be overrated, at least he has talent, unlike many of the overrated stars of today. (Ex. Lil Wayne, Justin Bieber, Jonas Brothers, etc.)

Besides slash playing only fair off the top of his head, he is an excellent song writer. His solos have branded all of us.
