@30129ss the folding stonck on a g36 has nothing to do with making the gun fire or not you can still bump fire it or fire it 2 hands floating most guns (if not all) with folding stocks are set up so even if the stock is folded it will not effect the way you shoot your gun it won't (or should) get in the way or the ejecting shells etc.
@500205 I know, but this particular G36 has the stock block installed so the SL8 receiver can accept a G36 folding stock thus it folds to a slightly different location than a real stock G36 that was not converted from an SL8.
Man I'm doing a conversion as well using a sl8-6 and between the freaking airsoft kiddies and that ugly archangel kit. It's a chore finding other videos pertaining to these conversions.
Anyway nice job on yours do you have any other vids of your gun? Shooting etc. btw did you use tbostic or chopstick?
Judging for how common the G36 replica is and how common the real G36 is among civilian owners, I think you walked right into that one and have no real reason to complain. When I click on an airsoft video I feel like hitting myself because it only proves I was retarded for not figuring it out by the thumbnail alone.
And everyone who does complain in those comment sections defies stupidity. They insist on wasting more time with airsoft.
@jones21290 thats cuz its not a brass deflector..its the folding stock catch...thats the device the stock locks onto when you fold it alongside the rifle
For anyone looking for parts Check HK pro forums you can buy G36 chassi parts for a couple hundred dollars down side is the single stack mags which you can get a magwell conversion kit but hit up those forums if you want to get a badass looking gun retail price is about 1900 dollars US
YOU are canadian??!?!?!? I AM TOO!!! i want one!!! would a G36c upper rail (cary handle) fit onto it??? what did you use? KE? i just dont know the measurements
Nice conversion. I'm starting mine soon. Does Canada have the equivalent of the US 922(r) laws on number of imported parts on conversion rifles? What a bullshit law.
@gza069 no, not the same law, the american one is basically a "buy american" law, up here, we have restrictions on stuff that makes guns mre dangerous or easy to conceal. so we cant have folding stocks, or else it becomes a shortened rifle, making it prohibited (basically illegal to own). other then length i think were okay though, unless you change the rate of fire to an automatic somehow. our gun laws arent tooooo bad... but not as lenient as american ones by far! too bad :(
I run the same set up for my sl8/g36 that I run in 3gun competition, helps me keep up with some of the AR guys. Why this was not standard in the factory rifle I will never know...
@kullwarrior Neither actually, it is a piece of hockey tape that I put on to protect the deflector from brass damage. It would hurt resale value down the line if I did not do so. Just replace it every 1000 rounds and your good to go.
@minimorley22 yea i figured that would be the cost, wish they would just come out with a g36 civilian version instead of that load of bull sl8 , g36 was meant to have a double stack not a single stack mag and a full on pistol grip nto a wierd thumbhole. lol but i gues you gota get around asault rifle laws and reforms somehow
I'm trying to gather info on converting the SL8 to G36. I just found out that this could be done when I asked about finding a civilian legal G36, so I'm trying to find any details on parts, cost, assembly, legality, gunsmithing, etc. lol... It's not like I'm gonna start this project tomorrow, but it seems like something that I might want to try in a few years if I have the time and money. I live in the US, btw. So as long as the end product is semiauto & minimum barrel length (16in), I'm happy.
love it dude, il have to get one for mine (once i get it lol). I bought one of those custom stocks that cnadnsl8-5 made off of him and i just cant wait to put it on!
Sweet rifle, I'm thinking of buying one and doing the G36 conversion, what did you use so the G36 mags would fit, besides changing the mag well?

@tested004
What about a gun makes it "more dangerous" that requires awesome Canadian laws?
Chitowngst 7 months ago
@Chitowngst Making it easier to conceal large weapons or weapons in general, changing RoF, and using armour piercing rounds.

that thing is sick as hell, how much did it cost you.?

@desighnedmilitent
The bolt release cost $20,
The gun cost $4500, but they are as rare as hens teeth here in Canada.
