  • This song really is beautiful.

It touches the heart in a nice way.

They should do many more duets.

    It's lovely.

    I love Alison Krauss. ^^

  • Everyone's talking about HIS voice? Alright, folks. Hello. ALISON KRAUSS.

  • @linzyg8r1 Right..Great for R.P. to stretch. Good for him! As always, Alisson Krauss is an angel!

  • he sounds so wonderful... ty for this post.

  • This Album is definitely the best post-Zepplin effort of any former band member!

  • Stick with me baby

  • His voice is wonderful.

  • @Pow3rGaming can't wait to get this !!! every time I hear them sing it makes me feel so good !!!

  • Its so wonderful to hear his voice is still pure and strong. I'm going to amazon and buy the album right now

This all started with a commercial about old leds albums and I said what ever happened to him and now I know::):)

  • Wow, love this song thanks for posting it

  • i love this song. It explains so much!

    Kwf&Kcm<3

  • If anyone here could just open up their mind's eye, you'd hear a lot of led zep in this.

  • @b1cc2 Specifically their singer. Lol

  • sexy, lovely

  • Just simply beautiful :)

    Rocket

  • goddamit I lost this album....looks like im going to have to buy it again. Plant is Legendary

  • Love this song

  • Robert Plant and Alison Krauss are a classic combo that should've happened long ago because I sure would've listened to it as much then as I do now. Love this album. Love Plant and Krauss!! I hope they make many more albums in the future!

  • heard this in l.a.

shortly after don, or was it phil

  • @Led19Roses Wonderful comment, not sure you remember it though!

  • Incredible CD.

  • ♥this song!!

  • This song is sooo good, why is it only two and a half minutes? Its a great song, i just wish it was longer :) :)

  • @Zimmy981991 -- I agree!1 At least it's longer than The Everly Brothers version. It times in at 1.55.

  • agree 100%

  • Good version, almost as good as the Everlys themselves! (An original not to be found on yt) Thanks so much for posting - 5 stars, Fav.

  • A moment arives and u know that u'll be alright!!

  • One of my favorite tracks on the album. My only complaint is that it's too short!

  • "You know you are right" (Kurt Cobain). Different point of views are not comparable

  • Love this song and the album, which I was lucky enough to have been on to early. As to the either or comparisons to Led Zeppelin, I wonder why people can't dig different genres on there own merits, rather than make absurd comparisons. I listen to everything from Bach to samba to New Orleans R&B to techno and on and on. Compare each within each not to each.

  • Your are so right, though I am a Zep fan, I listen to Abba but also to Zappa or 10cc or Mozart.....

Music is music and music, if it is good, is a reflection of the time we are sharing....

    thanks for your reaction gsjbaldwin!

  • @marcelbonzo1971 I'm with you I love it ALL!! I hate music snobs lol

  • @gsjbaldwin agreed! and I would go further...let's quit trying to pigeonhole everyone into a neat little genre. To me that is strictly a marketing tool anyway. Really good music, like this example, usually shows influences from different "genres".

  • Comment removed

  • If I may, I find this collaboration kinda like a neo-Simon & Garfunkel.

  • Heck, I thought Strange Sensation was the best stuff he'd done since Page & Plant's Walking into Clarksdale

  • this is alot like the immigrant song in a way.extreamley amazing, yet way too short

  • lol

  • USA/UK---#1

  • i dont see why everyone is surprised.. zeppelin was always a band with heavvvvvyyy celtic/folk roots. bluegrass is a form a folk music too, and gets some of its noise from that same european influence we all know and love that can be heard so clearly in the battle of evermore

  • If you like this, i would like to recomend you Ane Brun. Alot like this, same soft feeling and this jazzy bluegrass sound. Take care!

  • kay i will check them out. you take care too, friend! :)

  • i think it's just different, i must admit, a couple of songs are hard to get into, but i think we all forget sometimes that robert writes and records music for himself these days, if the fans like it, great, if not, well thats up to us, i mean, he doesn't have much to prove does he? just the way i see it folks.

  • What is wrong with you people to have to be so damn negative?! Tell me Leth what have you done in your life that is soooo amazing? They are both very talented artists and deserved to win those grammys. Its people like you who make this world the way it is. Why talk shit? Dont you have anything better to do?

  • I'm a musician myself, and as a vocalist I'll admit that I am heavily influenced by Robert Plant. I don't deny that he's talented. I'm just saying that covering a bunch of songs then putting them on an album can hardly be considered breaking new ground.

As for your other questions; I'm currently recovering from Guillain-Barre Syndrome. I'm house-bound, as I'm unable to walk (Or play sing and play guitar; my hands and lungs are too weak), so I have little to do other than surf youtube. Sorry.

  • I've loved Plant's work with Zeppelin, and some of his solo albums, and even his return to basics with priory of Brion, not so keen on Strange Sensation, but this Bluegrass link stuff, no thanks Plant . . . I'm not going there. Too far from my taste in music. I'm a little peeved with Plant as recently he's made some off the cuff remarks about a genre I'm very keen on, namely modern jazz and jazz rock. I always felt that Plant was a little bit 'country' even on some of the Zep stuff.

  • and good lucjk with your return to health.

  • I hope you recover quickly so you can get back to your guitar

  • Obviously you don't know shit about music... Deuche.

  • What makes you say that? What exactly do you know about my knowledge of music?

  • Who knew that two people who did pretty much opposite music could sound so amazing together. Favorite song on Raising Sand. So beautiful.

  • "everybody's been talking..." for some reason I absolutely love how they sing this line. =)

    awesome song

  • I agree. "Tallllking." :-)

  • If only this song wasn't so short. I really like it, I can't stop listening to it.

  • I love them together! Who knew two different worlds could be so close!

I wanna know whose idea this was!

    Thank you!

  • Such an unlikely pairing but they make it work. It's hard to be a "screamin meemeee" when you're in your 60's, so kudos to Robert Plant for his re-invention. He still might have something left for his rock fans a little later.

  • you nailed it...what an odd couple, but what a great result! The only memory of Alison I had was that lullaby called "Baby Of Mine" that I sang to my kid...

  • I like this song. The vocals are much better then the musicians. I still like it. That is my opinion, just noting that before someone calls me a Moron.

  • Agreed. :)

  • man i dont need nothin...... Other than more plant and krauss!!!

  • I love Robert Plants voice here. like honey. smooth. Very attractive. Great song!

  • Fking great combo. Who'd have thought??

This could be the next great genre of music. (folky as it sounds). It defies normal labeling...............

  • Whoa!! Gud song, man!

  • By far the best song from the album. Thanks very much for posting!

  • every song has a story of some sort. being in love is so difficult sometimes but if it's true love, you fight together and hold on to what you have.

this song is about holding on...and loving someone...if you cant appreciate that, then youve never been in love

    x

  • balvarg, that's because you've never really been in love. My condolences.

  • sometimes things happen that have to happen,. listen !!!! the Everly bothers started some of this, and allison and robert keep it going......

  • this song is so good!

  • I'm just happy to know that there are people who can make music this good.

  • Good song!!

  • An committed and serious musician's lifelong goal is to continually grow as a musician; genre is not in question. If Plant thinks that he is stretching himself and growing with this project then good for us but even more, better for him.

  • My personal godess, Michelle Branch, has proven that a rock singer and a country singer can exist in the same body.

  • totally...michelle branch is amazing...saw her like, 7 yrs ago in buffalo. she was a great first concert, for me at least. :)

  • this is such a beautiful song :)

  • I guess the rock n roll god has earned the right to do what the hell he likes. Once you paid your dues its time for a little self enjoyment and he seems to really enjoy this low energy work. Not my taste but he is still a god.

  • I know what you mean and normally I would feel the same way as you. (I'll have to mention Chris Cornell fooling around with Timbaland - it gives me nightmares!) This may not be the best song on the record but in some way I like it (the record). Partially thanks to T. Bone Burnett who is a master of creating cool sounds and stuff. But I also like most of the songs. There's some rock 'n' roll in there as well. Still, I hope he'll make a solo record again.

  • I saw robert plant&alisson last summer at the sommet in nashville,tn they were great!!!

  • Robert plant is the man!!! This song (and the Raising Sand album) makes the rock god a country legend too....

  • i saw zeppelin in 69 saw plant in the now and zen tour in 87 and i will go see him and krauss because he carries yhe show plant is zeppelin

  • They sound beautiful together....

  • love the beat, song, and both of them together,

  • this is a great song i love it

  • I'm not into country music but this song just grabs me. They have a nice harmony going on.

  • I'm sorry. but let the led Zep thing go... That was Over 30 years ago. Robert isn't a kid anymore. You dont see any 60 year olds playing in the NFL... Get Real/ This is good stuff!

  • Led Zeppelin isn't "kiddy" if that's what you're implying and I don't see any of Zeppelin's works being the result of Robert Plant's childhood anxiety so I don't see why you'd even say something like that ;/ Zeppelin was better. I think people are just disappointed because this stuff isn't as good and they were really expecting something insane.

  • I am huge Zep fan myself and im not disappointed at all. Hes not Led Zeppelin, he was only the part of the great band.

Its not Zeppelin's music - its Plant's music. I didnt expect anything from this album because Led Zeppelin is over. Sad but true.

  • robert deserves more awards then he ever got.

  • I would like to see someone travel back in time and unplug the speakers at a Zeppelin concert and play this Cream of Wheat instead and say, no, it's really good, it won Album of the Year.

  • album of the year! kick ass

  • AHHH! YESSS!

  • Love this version....

  • people say i look a lot like him i wish i had his voice

  • really lovely song beautiful voices.

  • I love this song. Thanks for posting it.

  • Wow..this is great! I have to say that I've never heard this until 3 months ago! I LOVE IT!!!

I heard a cover of this today and it's great as well!!

  • This tune and their voices are so gloriously beautiful! Robert Plant has captivated me ceaselessly... (:

  • Came up to my life at the exactly point i have needed it!

    Thanks!!!

  • beautiful coalition

  • i havent heard this song before now, and omg i almost started cryin cause it explains so much wat my fincee are going through. everyone is sayin that we aren't goin to make it, and by dam it we are goin to. I LUV U BRANDON OHLARIK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I WANT THIS CD AND SONGGGGGG

  • Awesome video, so much meaning!

  • Very True .. Caz x

  • Wow..this is great! I have to say that I've never heard this until tonight...I love it!!!

  • I bought this CD while on holiday last month(It was going cheap in Woolworths!) It's not quite how I would like it to be, not that Plant would make a cd just for me, but....it kind of grows on you....sneaks up on you! The country type things are really my thing, perhaps there'll "sneak up oon me too"!!

  • Really...I figured a keg with legs would really enjoy country music! ;)

  • shep, I should have written "The country type things are't really my thing, perhaps there'll "sneak up on me " but something went wrong! No, I never have liked country music, maybe I should change my name then?

  • I knew what you meant!! Rock on!

  • Thank you for this, Robert. and all you backdoor weird instruments like your wierd stuff, thank god you know how to work them asian drums maybe? Love it!!!!!!

  • Just got to share this with you Paul today we listened yes really listened to the words of this song and they mean so much and finally you sang to me whilst playing your guitar and you will never know how much that means to me love you now always and forever Michelle sorry for using your sign on but just wanted to put this

  • alright i have to admit when i heard robert plant was doing this thing with alison krauss was hessitant. personally i thought it was going to suck. but this is really good, i'm literally about to go and buy the album. but still i think plants best years where with zeppelin.

  • Only for those who believe in love...

  • Do you just go go to every "stick with me" video and copy and past the same comment? How immature. This is only your opinion.

  • joker?? rober plant the king of hard rock is a joker !!!! if many rock bands are born today is thank to him and the LED ZEPPELIN !!! but why do the people talk without knowing the story of the music??

  • hey ya fuck you

  • WONDERFUL!!! Who would have ever thought.....

  • going platinum now is much harder considering pirating and music downloads

  • awesome...give's me goose bumps.and I didnt even like Led..zep I got the album!wow wow

  • How could you not love Zep....?...Rain Song...Since I've Been Loving You...All My Love...Misty Mt. Hop...Stairway to Heaven...Maybe it's time to revisit those songs especially.

  • Dude, grab a Zepp CD right now!!!!!!!!!!!! It's time for your music appreciation class!!!

  • Extremely boring.

  • Oh? I guess that's why it has gone platinum...everyone thinks it is just so boring.

Kids these days, no appreciation for real music..

  • Not my cup of tea. Obviously a lots of people like it, symptomatic - a lots of people are boring. Nice sleeping pill though... ;)

  • Going platinum today is meaningless compared to going platinum, say in the 1960s, when there were countless music powerhouses at the top of their game. Pop music has been lousy since approximately the early 1980s. Compare the top 40 from say 1964-1974 compared to the top 40 of the past 25 years. Great music in the 60's and 70's and lousy since then. Want empirical evidence? Look at which musical acts can fill a large arena with a concert tours. Mainly the old farts from 30-40 years ago.

  • pier10

  • but I don't worry honey let THEM say what they will...I'm stickin with this baby and you need to find your way out!!

  • I gonna Best Buy and gonna get this freakin album.... So new, so soulful, and so quite modern...

  • no me gusta este tipo de musica por lo general, pero me voy a guardar mis opiniones hasta que escuche un poco mas de raising sand. Ademas, no creo que nada que haga Plant pueda ser malo, asi que le voy a dar una oportunidad.

  • Thanks to my friend for the share. If it's meant to be you two will stick together. Don't give up now. I'd forfeit a kingdom to be him.

  • I'd forfiet an empire to be her!!

  • get a fucking grip

  • Nicefrog45 - Correction to a message I placed earlier this evening. I shouldn't have listed a track called 'Visions' by Alison & Robert as that was an error on my part. I was referring to the song 'Killing The Blues' which I also listed. With apologies!

  • Nicefrog45

I have always been a fan of Alison Krauss as she has such a beautiful voice ideal for bluegrass music and she is also an excellent fiddle player too.I have all her albums both solo and with Union Station. This album is a nice alternative to them and her and Robert seem made to duet together. I especially like the slower, more reflective tracks such as vision, through the morning, killing the blues and stick with me baby. They seemed to both enjoy the experience of doing this duet album.

  • Fantastic!

  • the real human voice !

  • I have just bought this album - it is for me one of the very rare ones about which I can say that I love all the songs - I listed to it all the way through and it gives a calm and happy feeling. What wonderful musicians these two are!

  • Wow 8D

  • good song

  • awsum

  • who would have ever thought these two would have gotten together im glad they did its beautiful music.

  • Beautiful. As is all the others on this album.

  • Record of the year!!

  • What great music!!! Alison Krauss and Robert Plant...Incredible musicians!!!! Bring together classic, in the moment... two,

different generations, bridged that gap...they show it can be done...and I am so

in awe and so thankful, I can live long enough

to hear and to be here, to appreciate this Union....Wish more Musicians would do this...

It would be a new era!!!!

    It's about time!!!!

  • nice song

  • Plant shows here how good he really is, always seeking new ways!

  • I still have my Everly Brothers vinyl version! This is gorgeous, as is the original. Thanks for posting.

  • You're welcome.

  • GREAT record!

  • Yep I like It
