Apparently the gulf has many disused wells that are leaking oil. Thousands of them. The sad thing is it's not necessarily from the BP gusher. I think the USA needs to hurry legislation through to force the oil companies to monitor and remedy their leaking well heads. They leak on land so they are guarenteed to be leaking under the sea. You guys really need to put the pressure on your government. We would be better off with no oil at all than a repeat of this fiasco.

Of course this is OIL and not MUD.
These guys can tell the look and smell of OIL from MUD.
There's no thick, gooey, floating mud, except if you mean algae or pollen-slime - and those look totally different.
