  • lol these germany cant shoot for shit

  • tough mission on hard difficulty...

  • The BAR was bad ass.

  • @fukdover

why some people call it the Bad Ass Rifle

  • The soundtrack for this game is amazing, haven't played any game after Frontline that had a better music. Rented the PS2 version, but bought it for the PS3 just to revisit the great game. Nice to hear the music again and getting all trophies. Most fun cheats work too.

  • The music made this level.

  • those the graphis for the ps2?are bad

  • this was the best shooter in this time and i still cry if i hear this awesome music and soundtracks, it like feels me in the WW2

  • this part of the game had me stuck for a while. i sure miss the days when i used to play this game. it feels like ages ago

  • Shooting a tank with an mg is no more realistic than being able to run with a bazooka, B.A.R., sniper, shotgun, 20 grenades, and a silenced pistol

  • damn, I miss those times .. medal of honor ftw!

  • I love this game so mutch,i remember when i played on the playstation 1 ahhh good times

  • This is my favorite mission cause there are many allies though they do not help.

  • I remember going to the spot with the tank and the hole in the wall, went further in the game then went back to the starting position.. When I reached the hole everything was set back, tank, soldiers and bazooka men re-set there and i was like WTF?

  • i can see you playing hahaha

  • hell yea

  • This was the best mission in the entire game...I love the old medal of honor games...ahhh nastalgia.

  • I think this level in particular tries not to glorify war, which I find rare and respectable, especially nowadays where Modern Warfare has extremely glorified killing.

  • thumbs up for the soundtrack and the paratroopers who did this in real life.

  • you play so good

  • i finally found this game i was soooo happy the best game ever made..... and my damn ps2 has a disc read error the game isnt evan scratched alot what a bummer

  • best level on the game

  • Michael Giachinno is a genius. The music and this level is what made me fall in love with FPS. Probably my favorite mission in any game of all time.

  • Listen the music, it's so touching...

  • I remember being really happy when I realised that the Brits actually got properly acknowledged in this game, back when I first got it, and it wasn't just an "America won the war" fest (since the title is "Medal fof Honor", one might have been forgiven as a novice gamer for thinking it would be somewhat American-centric). Of course if I wanted to be nitpicky, I could complain about the guy having an American rank and the cliche voices, but hey, even having Brits around is nice.

  • how do you kill a tank with gun???

  • lol 8:57 to the end do you get possessed or something?! You just start shooting at doors and furniture

  • I think medal of honor rising sun might have been the best but frontline is awsome to

  • lol notice how slowly they fall down after being shot

  • @tneal89 When you get shot you don't die instantly.

  • Lt. Patterson really sounds like Noble 6 in Halo Reach

  • It's a shame this game didn't get a proper remake. Honestly, I think remaking this game is a bad idea because it'd ruin the entire atmosphere of greatness this game had... But still, if they wanted to remake it, they should have remade it right.

  • EVERYBODY knows that the music on Arnhem Knights makes the whole game worth buying!

  • This level has one of the most beautiful scores I've heard in a game. Such an emotional song; perfect to set the tone of this level.

  • Patterson; i need a vacation. Sargent; no you dont you gotta do everything in the next 10 missions.Patterson;oh yeah i forgot.

  • I loved all medal of honor games, along with Airborne. The new one made me disappoint.

  • @Tycholarfero I think the oldest ones are the best. The Medal of Honor games after Frontline weren't very good, in my opinion, although they certainly weren't bad. European Assault put a decent twist on the series' conventions, even if the spy theme was eliminated.

However, I have to say that the newest Medal of Honor was terrible. It is one of the worst games I've ever played. Everything felt so forced and rushed. There was no freedom at all.

  • @spicyechidna94 Like Call of Duty..

  • @bloodhoun138 That's exactly what the new MoH was like. It was just another terrible, overly scripted mess of a game and a disgrace to the MoH series.

The problem is, that type of game is what is popular right now. People apparently don't like variety, much less thinking for themselves, God forbid.

  • You KNow in all those modern warfare games you never have any more those big attacks of germans coming to get your ass down this is only in the old medal of honors series like in this one or vanguard damn i will pay all my fking money to let them rebuild the old games betther graphighs same story would be so awsome :P

  • this game is just amazing it is a legend of a game. I dont care if it isnt realistic or not the game is fun as hell and the music is just incredible

  • That was my favourite mission in the game,

As for realisim can you really knock out a tank with machine gun fire???.

I mean the armour thickness on those german tanks in the game must be 2 inch think.

  • @daytrader3 Definitely not. Of course, it's not like it matters. Medal of Honor isn't a realistic series, but it doesn't need to be.

Some people are really bothered by this game's lack of "realism", but games in general are almost never "realistic". Frontline is more of an old-school, objective-based shooter than anything else.

  • Still im gonna buy this one and the HD

just loved the soldieras reaction to bullets a bit more realistic than games that even are sold on the xbox 360

    but still legend this game

    :)

  • @S3rg1o100 I'm not sure about that. Frontline is extremely unrealistic. Now, of course, most current-generation games are even less realistic, but that is beside the point.

However, I will say that Frontline was animated with love. The developers key-animated everything in the game, which is especially impressive considering just how many excellent animations there are. The animations may be unrealistic, but they are still quite good. :D

  • @spicyechidna94 Thnx i hope u got my point of what i was saying

    :)

  • i love how the mg42 destroys a panzer

  • Has to be on EASY difficulty level...the Germans aren't hitting anything

  • @kendoggie1 No, it's on Normal. Sometimes the Germans are excellent shots, other times they completely suck.

I refuse to play games on a difficulty setting lower than Normal. It's either Normal or Hard for me.

  • Is it me or was this lv impossible to end?, i always made it to the end with that tank and after it was blown up and no soldiers left i cood not end lv?

  • @Kratos205 No, it's perfectly possible. You have to go inside the building to the left of the MG42. That's where your informant is located. Just do as I did in this video. :D

  • @spicyechidna94 Ye, but i did all that but everytime i got in the room it didnt end, or mayby its because i cheated ;( lol hahah :) "dawoiks" the master cheat forgot about its probly because of the cheat, was to young and to bad to finish the game without cheating i guess ;(, wish i still had this game

  • @Kratos205 That's a shame. Well, Frontline is extremely cheap these days, so maybe you can find it again. :D

  • @spicyechidna94 I yust found that the new Medal of Honor game got a bonus game, and that is MOH:Frontline (HD) ;), i actually payd like 60 euro for a game i dont want but the extra game in it.

But it's still worth it yust wanted my game back

  • @spicyechidna94 would you call a 2002 game old? To me it's not since it's 9 years old wich is a kids age. This game was put together very good, and entertaining. You usually just wanna replay the levels for hours

  • @WhiteDemon1211 Did I ever say that? Well, if I did, I was probably just saying that because in most current-generation gamers' eyes, this is positively ancient to them. No, this game is really not what I would classify as "old". However, it certainly isn't new, "either". Frontline is too recent to be considered retro but too old to be considered new. It's still an excellent game, though. :D

  • @spicyechidna94 Do you still play the game? It's really addicting, ever used the Men with Hats cheat?

  • @WhiteDemon1211 I still play it on occasion. I'm currently making another walkthrough of it, to be honest.

It's one of the few games I have serious trouble putting down. Even these days I find myself playing several levels in one sitting, soaking in the detail and the excellent atmosphere as I carve a hollow point through Frontline's excellent levels.

  • Have u played this game on the ps3 for the new moh 2010?

  • @irhungry66 Yes, but I wasn't impressed with either game. MoH 2010 itself is arguably one of the worst shooters ever released and Frontline HD is a half-assed port of an excellent shooter.

  • Um, master sergeant Kelso?

Sorry, no master sergeants in the British army.

Who would have thought. An 'accurate' American portrayal of WW2 screwing up when it comes to the British.

  • @guntotingtomcat Does it really break the game for you? Honestly, it was a simple mistake that any developer could have made.

Why do the British get so worked up over such an inconsequencial error? Yes, this game was made by Americans. I think those Americans did a damn fine job on this game, too. Furthermore, if you think this game would have been "accurate" if the developers had not made that mistake, then you seriously need to read a history book. This isn't even close.

  • Just as Break from that big disagreement , This was my fav level on that game ;)

  • @MeinlTamaBlastBeat It's defintely one of the best in the game.

I regards to that "disagreement", I feel I have a right to not like any game I want, because it's my opinion, nothing more. It's becoming more and more apparent that not liking something that everyone else likes is a very, very bad thing on the internet. Evidently, it makes me an ignorant asshole. Simply put, I play what I like, popular opinion be damned.

  • @fullmetalfunk I also find it funny that your definition of "playing nice" is calling someone an ignorant asshole after they fully explain why they don't like something that you like. Get over yourself. You're just a 21-year-old no-life band member that no one listens to who doesn't know shit about gaming, yet you claim to.

Well, it doesn't matter, because I have lost my patience with idiots. You're not worth my time. Goodbye. :D

  • @fullmetalfunk You know what? You're completely full of shit. I gave you the exact reasons as to why I don't like MW2, yet that still makes me ignorant? That makes me an elitist douch bag? I'm not a know-it-all, I just know what the hell I'm talking about. You don't even know what you're talking about.

If you're going to talk out of your ass, at least have proof to back it up. I'm sorry, Mr. Opinion Police, I seemed to have offended you.

  • @fullmetalfunk I have no problem for games that attract a new audience. That's exactly what Pac-Man was. So was Sonic the Hedgehog. The difference between MW2 and those games are the fact that they have good design, not a repeat of a seven-year-old formula with more explosions and nicer graphics. You call that good design, I call it inexcusably lazy.

Oh, and MW2 indeed says "Call of Duty" on the box, so you must be illiterate. Why do you think the first MW was called "Call of Duty 4"?

  • @fullmetalfunk Evidently, if my opinion of MW2 doesn't line up with yours, I'm wrong. That's extremely ignorant. I gave you my stance, yet you call me an ignorant asshole. Well, I've got news for you, jackass. You're the ignorant, close-minded asshole who doesn't understand what an opinion is, despite your constant use of the word.

I have a right to not like any damn game I want. I can choose to hate Pac-Man if I want. There's nothing ignorant about an opinion.

  • @fullmetalfunk Furthermore, all of this my opinion, but since you just called me an ignorant asshole on my own video, you seem to be one yourself. What do want? I bought MW2 two weeks after it came out. I played it to the end of its long, tedious, been-there-before campaign, played its no-skill multiplayer component for a week, watched its lame, predictable story unfold and I hated every minute of it. It never got better. But that isn't good enough for you, apparently.

  • @fullmetalfunk I should also add that just because something sells well, it isn't neccesarily good. Just take a look at Ke$ha. That girl can't sing worth a damn yet she has millions of fans. "Popularity" does not mean "quality".

I'm sorry, but it sounds just a little sheepish to say that MW2 is good just because everyone says it is. You have to remember that the majority of people who play MW2 are ultra-casual gamers who don't know their heads from their asses when it comes to shooters.

  • @spicyechidna94 True enough. Fame dosen't equal quality. However, I have a friend that listen to Ke$ha...but that same friend also listens to The Beatles, Guns n' Roses, The Who, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and tons of other great bands. I play MW2, but I also play the Mass Effect series, Bioshock, all the Fallouts, THIS GAME, and other great games. Yes there ar eplenty of casual gamers who play it, but that's because it's fun.

  • @spicyechidna94 You see by shunning casual gamers you push gaming as a hobby and as a lifestyle farther and farther away from being acceptable. It just becomes something for kids, and "nerds" to do. Yes there are many a casual gamer that play nothign but MW2 and Madden that latch on to the MW franchise and give it a questionable reputation but think about how much the MW franchise has brought gaming to the fore front and made it more of an adult and common thing. Fame dosen't equal quality...

  • @fullmetalfunk I actually liked gaming better when it was a hobby. There were more great games out when developers made games for gamers. That may sound elitist, but now that "everybody" can play (as if they couldn't before), games are more focused on pandering to ultra-casula gamers. When developers focus-group games to death, they annoy the people who have been there since the beginning. CoD used to be great, but that was before they stopped caring about quality. It's all about money.

  • @fullmetalfunk Wait, what? "Adult and common"? There have been "adult" games since the dawn of video games. If anything, gaming has become more mainstream, which has its postives and negatives. Mostly negative, though, since games are becoming easier and designed to steer the player in one direction (probably to prevent casual gamers from quitting because the game is too "hard") which makes gameplay freedom almost nonexistant in games like MW2. That's one of the reasons why I hate it.

  • @spicyechidna94 JESUS! Nevermind dude, I'm done trying to make you sound less like an ignorant asshole...the fact is you're bitter and yes you sound very elitist. People like you make gaming seem like something only arrogant ass nerds do while they sit int heir mom's basement and that stereotype pisses me off and by being so close minded and dismissive you only prepetrate that stereotype. It's one thing to not like MW2 but it's another to dismiss it as shit due to it being "mainstream."

  • @fullmetalfunk You see, here's the thing. I don't play games to fit into a crowd, nor do I hate games to fit into a crowd. I judge games on my 12 years of experience, not because it's "cool" or not. Don't infer that I'm one of those "fight the mainstream" idiots because I don't like a game that's popular. That's a stereotype in itself, friend, so take a look in a mirror before you call me an ignorant asshole.

Go ahead, like MW2. I really don't care.

  • @spicyechidna94 By doing that you're liek the hipster who says a popular band sucks just because they're popular and "pandering" to everyone. So there are some easier games out there that try to help new comers to video games...is that such a crime? By playing those they can get into deeper and harder games. Do you know how frustrating it is trying to teach someone who's never played anything other than The Sims and Mario Kart how to play Oblivion? That's what those intermediary games are for!

  • @spicyechidna94 ...but there must be something to it to attract so many gamers, whether hardcore or casual, and to get so much critical acclaim from game reviewers.

And yes I know that MW2 is part of MANY COD games that have been made and made and made. MW2 however is a stand alone branch off from that series so therefore it I refered to it as the second in the series. Trust me, I'm no casual gamer.

  • @fullmetalfunk Simple. Because it's popular. It has been since 2003. Have you even played the original? THAT was a good game. I can't say same for MW2.

It's not stand-alone. Does it say "Call of Duty" on the box? Then it's a CoD game. Think about Final Fantasy. There are several subseries of that game. Just because one says "VII" and the other says "Tactics" doesn't mean they are different series. MW and MW2 are still CoD and nothing will change that fact.

  • This used to be my favorite game I would spend hours playing it and this was a hard level too man this brings back memories

  • This used to be my favorite game. This was before online play and all you could do was play the missions over and over again haha. This was the first time I've seen the gameplay again in years it feels so weird watching it

  • And if I'm not mistaken many of the guys who worked ont his game eventually worked ont eh COD games as well. Including the MW series.

  • Man I loved this game. I used to play ti all the time. This was THE hardest level for me. Can't tell you how many times I had to listen to that British soldier talk to me. I rememebr the feeling I'd get in this game every time I heard the squeaks of tank tracks.

Also MW isn't a bad game at all. I think the series is pretty great myself. The campaign and multiplayer are great in my honest opinion. I certainly don't play it because "everyone else does." I play it because I enjoy it.

  • @fullmetalfunk I never said it was. I said that MW2 a bad game, not Call of Duty 4.

Even so, yes, MW2 is a terrible game. If you want to know why I think so, just read my other comments, because I'm tired of repeating myself. MW2 is truly a stain on the gaming industry, somehow to managing to suck all of the soul out of games yet still sell millions of copies. Oh, and most of those people did not work on this game. They worked on the PC version of Allied Assault, not on Frontline.

  • @spicyechidna94 I've read them. And MW2 wasn't a bad game man. If it was a bad game, millions of people wouldn't have bought it. Just because something is popular or you deem it as a "stain on the gaming industry" dosen't mean it's a bad game. It has a good story, (some plot holes at first but they can be filled if you think on it enough) impressive graphics, a very "real" feeling to it, and a great multiplayer.

  • @fullmetalfunk Once again, who said I hated the original Modern Warfare? I like CoD4. Furthermore, it's my opinion as well. I never said it was pure fact. That would be really ignorant of me.

You evidently don't know much about the series if you think MW2 is only the second game. Call of Duty (the true series; MW is a subseries within the CoD series) has been around for seven years, and there have been well over a dozen of them in that time. THAT is whoring out a series.

  • Good old British Paras at Arnhem!

  • SO

    MUCH

    NOSTALGIA.

  • That song on the background... ,the voices... make this game feel so real.

  • this game was true war, the music and atmosphere was simply immense- MW2 isn't real war, using a sniper rifle as a assault rifle proves that. this is probably the best game I've ever played

  • @R32SKYLINEBWD No, this isn't "real war", either. Not even close.

I would say that Frontline is a bit more "realistic" than MW2 but both are extremely unrealistic as a whole. In "real war", if you get shot, you can't just heal it instantly with a health pack or regenerate health. If you've ever fired a real gun before, and my guess is that you haven't, you would know that no game has ever come close to correctly conveying the feeling. That doesn't mean they should, though.

  • @spicyechidna94 The best PS2 war game was "Brothers in Arms": very realistic and hard, expecialy on difficult and "real" level (one hit, you die).

  • @bealzaboob Furthermore, I have already deleted his most idiotic comments, so you haven't really seen the whole thing. I'm going to delete the rest of them because I am tired of looking at abject stupidity every day.

Yes, I probably could have handled this a bit better, but I type slowly, meaning I can't get my points out fast enough to fight back, and even when I did, he made up some lie to make me look bad. I take a lot of shit from people in the real world and I don't need more, you see.

  • @spicyechidna94 I read all of it yesterday morning, so Ive seen the whole thing intact. Granted, saying "fuck off" was out of order, but grow some balls. I don't think he was insulting you outright, just your argument. He says he's from scotland. "Fuck off" isn't as offensive in Scotland as it is in the US, and is generally used to say "that is a terrible point". Fuck off is said causally. Well, I don't know if he seriously was insulting you or saying it like that, but thats not important.

  • @bealzaboob Okay, I didn't know that. In America, "Fuck off " is the go-to insult for a person who doesn't actually have a point to give, and here it's regarded as a low blow for stupid people. I don't respect people who tell me to fuck off, unless it's a close friend who is just joking.

I wasn't insulted. I just don't argue with people who fling insults to hide their own incompetence in a debate. I have no problem with blocking people on YouTube.

  • @spicyechidna94 Fair enough, he swore at you, but come on, don't block people for petty things like that, and especially don't continue to taunt them after they cannot reply back. I've used 15 years of internet experience on forums and sites to compact this debate.

Out of context, I really like your Frontline levels. I don't have it anymore, but im thinking of getting the new remastered one for PS3.

  • @bealzaboob Oh, and I just realized something. Your profile says you're 18, but you say that you've been using forums for 15 years. That's pretty early.

I could barely read at that age.

  • @spicyechidna94 Im not 18. Im 27. I just randomly selected a year. My birthday's not right on this, mainly because it's my 14 year old brothers account

  • @spicyechidna94 Also, both of your and his points had equal validity. You were accusing him of being an "ignorant sheep" and following "sensationalist reviewers" and it's a bad game because ..., while he said it was a good game because... and reviewers are not sensationalist, but use their experience in the industry to review games, and he really does like the game. That is not a bad argument, regardless of whether you agree with him or not.

  • @bealzaboob I personally believe that many game reviewrs are indeed sensationalistic. They give high review scores to games that don't deserve them, like CoD, Halo, GTAIV, and MGS4. I've been burned repeatedly by listening to reviewers "advice", so I rarely do these days. Some are good, but most are not.

If you see nothing wrong with almost blindly following reviewers' advice, don't let me stop you. That is just my opinion.

  • @spicyechidna94 And frankly, I agree with you in the context of MW2 being a bad game. What I disagree with is you treating him like shit and blocking him yet still taunting him because you simply don't like the "style of his argument". He has a reasonable enough argument, as do you. You're just abusing your powers of being a video owner by blocking him, and treating him unfairly. What's more, you're trying to cover your tracks of being an unethical internet user by deleting all previous comments

  • @bealzaboob I apologize for seeming like a bully, but to be fair, he attacked me first. He told me to fuck off, and that automatically means he gets blocked because he is evidently the one who needs to take some lessons in adult conversation before "adding" to my comments page.

Granted, I'm only 16 myself, and I'm no saint, but throwing insults like a 12-year-old is just sad. I also hate those "fight the mainstream" people, but I'm not one of them. I just like what's good, nothing more.

  • watching this video makes me think. you never get decent soundtracks anymore

  • @alapino123 There are a few exceptions. Valkyria Chronicles has some of the best music of this generation. Still, you're right, music in games these days comes nowhere near the compositions of games like this. :D

  • @TheMikeyReilly I never said that. There are several overrated games this generation that are perfectly fun games, such as MGS4, Uncharted and RDR.

MW2 is not a bad game because it's overrated. It's a bad game because it has no freedom in its gameplay, terrible level design, an incoherent storyline and unbalanced multiplayer. Please, tell me, in what way is MW2 a good game? I'm listening.

  • @spicyechidna94 I can't believe you are sitting there and telling me MW2 is a bad game.

It is the definition of the modern FPS: fast-paced and exciting. The level design is excellent (I don't know what you feel is good level design); in-depth, brilliant multi-player (unbalanced? Have you even played the game); a gripping storyline; a brilliant engine created by id Software. "no freedom"? It's a linear FPS. That's the point. It's a kill-kill-kill game, not strategy.

  • @TheMikeyReilly I can't believe you are sitting there and slavishly defending such a mediocre game. Actually, I can. Most MW2 fans get extremely sensitive when I insult their glorified interactive movie, so that makes sense.

The level design forces the player to play the game the way the developers want you to, and that's bad design. The MP's perk system panders to people who hide and whore explosives. The story? Gripping? You've got to be kidding me.

  • @TheMikeyReilly You evidently don't play a lot of shooters if you think MW2 is one of the best. It's the same game it has been since 2003, and if you see nothing wrong with that, go ahead and keep buying the same shit over and over again. I bought MW2 two weeks after it came out and sold it the following week because it was a boring interactive movie, albeit one with high production values. That's all MW2 has.

  • @spicyechidna94 I'm intrigued to know what your idea of a good game is. Please name me some, since nearly all modern shooters are the same game, with some being slightly better than others.

  • @TheMikeyReilly Sonic the Hedgehog, Phantasy Star IV, Half-Life, Unreal, GTA: Vice City, Gain Ground, Pac-Man, Time Crisis, House of the Dead, Ridge Racer, Rez, Jack and Daxter, Sly Cooper, TimeSplitters, Raiden, Metal Slug, Daytona USA, Doom, Wolfenstein 3D, Commando, Strider, Medal of Honor, Crazy Taxi, Ristar... I would go on, but I don't feel like it is necessary. Mainly because you idiotically told me to fuck off on my own video, meaning you just got blocked.

  • haha i remember this was the game to play when i was like 8

  • @47YearOldNamedSteve Hell, it's still the game to play now. :D

  • I hate this mission, it's hard!!!! My favourite mission in Frontline is D-Day mission :)

  • @MrStubbja Most people do seem to hate this mission. They say it's because of the difficulty, but this level really isn't very hard if you practice it.

Frontline is a game of memorization. If you can remember where everything is, you'll be fine.

  • @spicyechidna94 I just hate the tanks in this mission because in Frontline you can't aim through that anti-tank weapon and if i get hit by a tank half my friggin health goes away, lol.

  • @MrStubbja You should try using the MG42. Contrary to logic, it's more effective than using rockets or grenades in this game. :D

  • nunca pude entender como es que en estos juegos se podia detener un tanque con una metralleta si precisamente es el arma menos efectiva contra estos

  • @philipuslll Judging your comment from the little, broken Spanish that I know, I think that you just said that the rocket launcher is ineffective against the tank, in which case, yes, that weapon is almost worthless taking one of those out.

  • @spicyechidna94 no the rocket launcher, the machine gun, but in the game the machine gun destry the tank

  • @philipuslll Oh, I see. Yes, the MG42 is more effective than the rocket launcher in this game, so I use that one in the video.

  • mw2 better!

  • @valttu94 Hell no. MW2 is an unpolished, overly-scripted, mindless arcade shooter that panders to ultra-casual gamers and people who play like bitches. It's just a glorified interactive movie with terrible single player and multiplayer components. The only reason people play it is because everybody else does. It's the new "cool" game to have, and nothing more.

MW2 is perhaps the most overrated game ever made and it is not a good game in the slightest.

  • @spicyechidna94 And the level design is pretty awful. Have you even tried to play the favela level?? I actually really liked Modern Warfare (Call of Duty 4) but MW2 ruined it for me.

  • @Jimhupponeword Same here. I actually really liked CoD4. It was a bit too linear and the infinitely-respawning enemies annoy me, but overall it was a good game.

You're right, the level design in MW2 is pretty awful, and that Favela level in particular was a joyless clusterfuck. I honestly had high expectations for MW2, but the end result was a lame-ass interactive movie with a terrible campaign and multiplayer that was even worse. The developers just didn't care.

  • @valttu94 Chill out! that was a joke :D I have medal of honor frontline and mw2, they are both good games but i don't say that the mw2 is better.

  • @valttu94 Oh, okay. I couldn't tell that was a joke. Usually, the people who leave comments like that have never even played Frontline and just knock the game because it's old.

If you like both games, that's fine with me.

  • @spicyechidna94 Never forget the old good games!

  • and btw for haters that gun that killed the tank is 50 cal and it shoots like 500 bullets per minute so its not that unrealistic.

  • this mission is awesome lol

  • o man dis game was good the train mission i think was the hardess

  • this game had the best soundtrack

  • Machine gun kills tank?? And you guys are arguing about realism...

  • @alienx1002 Who the hell said this game was realistic? I never did. In fact, the Medal of Honor series is probably the least realistic WWII game series apart from Wolfenstein.

I have said that I prefer unrealistic games to those those that are "realistic", and that is probably why I like games like this slightly better than "realistic" games like Brothers In Arms. Yes, Frontline is unrealistic. On that note, the sky is blue and fire is rather hot.

  • @spicyechidna94 Then if you didn't say it was realistic, perhaps I wasn't talking to you.

  • @alienx1002 Let me explain something to you, smartass. This is MY video, which means if you leave any comment at all, you're talking to me.

First of all, you said "you guys", meaning that you were referring to both another YouTube member and I, so, yes, you were talking to me. Second, that "arguement" was a full three weeks ago. The subject is no longer relevant.

  • haa i used to sneak playing this game when was 7 now im 11 plus if you shoot guys in the .). than theta hold it

  • haa i used to sneak playing this game when was 7 now im 11

  • Good old days with this game. I bought this game after it was released for a long time maybe 4 or 5 years? (Think Frontline is from 2002) and it was the best game I bought till now. Very Good times I Spent playing this, a thrilling experience even the new games with realistic graphics cant give you so much thrilling. Maybe because they are too realistic maybe sometimes we dont want to feel like killing real people maybe sometimes its better too feel it is a game afterall

  • @TigzaMigzatesPT Realistic? Oh, hell no. Current-generation games don't get anything close to "realism". Regenerating health and guns that lack recoil aren't realistic at all, even though they're in games that "look" realistic. Graphics can only go so far in terms of realism.

But, really, f*** realism. Games were a lot more fun when games didn't try to be "realistic". If nothing else, they were certainly more creative than the masses of generic shooters these days.

  • @spicyechidna94 Yes thats it! I give more value to a creative game than to a game thats the same as the other ones except it has better graphics. Frontline and Cod2 are my favorite shooters ever! I didnt even tried the COD MW2 or BLACK OPS they just dont atract me...

  • @TigzaMigzatesPT I know what you mean. Unfortunately, creativity and innovation are essentially dead these days. People only want to play Call of Duty and Halo and they won't give other games a chance. Personally, I can't stand either series at the moment. Call of Duty was good before it was turned into a lame interactive movie for casual gamers, but I've always despised Halo's generic gameplay.

They may look nice, but graphics don't mean anything to me. Gameplay comes before anything else.

  • @TigzaMigzatesPT Amen to that. A relative of mine was part of a special ops unit in afghanistan and Iraq. He showed me video of them actually hammering a taliban truck with 2 guys in the cab going for grenades. They pulled the driver out and he was gasping for his last breaths and absolutely covered in blood with guts hanging out. Not a pleasant site. Video games should be kept dumbed down.

  • @mindeloman I can't say that I agree with you on that one. There's nothing wrong with making a "realistic" game. I actually prefer unrealistic games, but that isn't to say I won't give "realistic" games a chance.

Personally, I'm really getting tired of this "politically correct" society we live in. Real life isn't a utopia with padded walls, so why should we dumb down the truth for a game? What, should all war games be glorified action movies like Call of Duty? They are just games, after all.

  • @spicyechidna94 I see what you mean. It's become more about the story in a movie like setting than a game. Of course i don't think a video game could ever capture a scene like I saw. Even as hard as Hollywood tries they've never come close to that scene. It's hard to convey. I'm not one who enjoys glorifying violence for the sake of violence (the movie 300). However, if it tells an important story (saving private ryan) I advocate it.

  • @mindeloman Fair enough. I'm no soldier, but I realize that war is hell and that games will never come close to conveying war as it really is. To be fair, I don't think any entertainment medium can.

It really depends on how the violence is portrayed. Games like Brothers In Arms use violence to tell stories in a similar way to Saving Private Ryan, which is how violence should be used in games. Unreal Tournament-style gore would be a disservice to real soldiers in "realistic" games.

  • awesome level. i wish more of the levels had people on your side fighting along with you. hard level too though. thanks for posting, this'll help me get past it

  • i never new the sniper could zoom in

  • i think this game is alot like medal of honor allied assualt thumbs up if you agree

  • I'm quite sure Master Sergeant is not a rank in the British Army. He ought to be a Colour Sergeant or a Staff Sergeant.

  • @RodmasterStudios It isn't. The correct rank equivalent for Master Sargeant in the British Army is Warrant Officer, Second Class. EA definitely messed up on that one, but they're based in the United States, so it's understandable. Being an American myself, I wasn't too annoyed by this little mistake, but the development team should have been paying more attention.

  • Yeeeeah i got the game for the ps3 yeah

  • This level is so anoying -_-

  • i still have this game on game cube, havent played in a while

    maybe its time:)

  • This was my first ps2 game, almost 10 years old..well made game but bit too easy, hard mode was good.

  • is still freakin love this game :D

  • Great clip and game ! I always have trouble getting past 1:57 when the tank arrives, I either get the tank but infantry get me or vice versa ( the only inaccuracy in the game, there's no way a machine can destroy a tank ! ). It was nice to see what lies ahead....And this scenario really shows the confusion of close quarters street fighting, where " the front " and the enemy keep changing constantly. Regards.

  • Man I miss this game.

  • I miss playing this game, I also had it for the PS2. Maybe I'll get the remastered version on the PS3. Speaking of which, that game does come with the PS3 version of Medal of Honor 2010 right? But is the remastered out yet, and is it only for the limited edition of Medal of Honor 2010?

  • this is possible the badest game ever look at the graphic

  • Wow, really? That was possibly the dumbest comment I've ever read. First of all, graphics don't mean a damn thing. Gameplay is what matters. Second of all, this game came out eight years ago. What did you expect? It looks good for a game that was released in 2002.

In ten years, you'll be complaining about how awful games from the current generation look, anyways. Next time, trying thinking before you idiotically judge a game based on its graphics.

  • Comment removed

  • @777MrProphet You're a f***ing idiot. Medal of Honor was a "total failure of a game", you say? You obviously don't know anything about the series, because when the first MoH game came out ten years ago, it was a huge success and spawned several sequels.

I also think it's funny how you think a series is only good if the developers produce sequels over and over again. That's called "whoring out a series", you know. Go play your overrated interactive movies and the rest of us will play this game.

  • @spicyechidna94 Second that!

  • @777MrProphet Which MOH are you referring to? The 1st and latest MOH are both called "Medal of Honor" for some stupid reason. But to clear up confusion, the latest MOH is referred to as "Medal of Honor 2010". The Medal of Honor series over the years has had various problems that effect the game play, especially online, but that's not to say the MOH is a total failure of a series. It started of great with the fun and long campaigns. Can you elaborate on this "total failure of a game" bullshit?

  • @777MrProphet MOH (1999) took the rules of FPS video gaming from DOOM (1993) and completely revised it. If it wasn't for MOH, your beloved COD would look pretty different (Not to mention COD was created by the MOH team).

  • @TheMikeyReilly Not exactly. Medal of Honor didn't completely revise the FPS genre. It's gameplay was still essentially Wolfenstein 3D with more elaborate objectives and a jump button. Even Deus Ex, which added RPG-style elements and a lot of freedom of choice, didn't revise the genre.

Don't get me wrong, Medal of Honor is an excellent game and it added a few FPS game conventions, but that's about it. Half-Life is probably the closest thing to a turning point that the genre has had.

  • @0330simon Your a tard.

  • I want a WW2 game from the German perspective once. Won't ever get that though.

  • @gunther482 Buy a pre- owned Brothers In Arms, Earned In Blood. You have a great range of skirmishes independant of the main storyline. You get to be 2 Germans of your choice, if I'm correct.

  • I demand EA Re-make this game! Sure the new MoH that came out today was badass and all but please remake this game EA :'(

  • WaW makes the BAR look like a bitch compared to this game.
