BECAUSE THERE IS NOT ENOUGH EMPTY SPACE ON A GAME CART!!! why do these assholes insist on plastering their shitty price tags all over the front of the cart... ugh drives me nuts.. any way good score man! i go to the goodwill up the street from my house. found a sega saturn for 15 bucks.
@vulgarscreams : Thanks man! Fatal Fury games on the SNES are ok. But it's best to get the Fatal Fury compilation discs for the PS2. They are arcade perfect!!
@tweirup : I use the Digital Press Collector's Guide 7th Edition and the Digital Press Collector's Guide Advanced Edition. I made a video about the books called THE DIGITAL PRESS RARITY SCALE. I talk more about rarity in the video rather than pricing though. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Power Quest is a fighting game??! Cool! I havn't tried it out yet, but now I will have to give it a go!
And yeah, I can imagine a Sega CD FFS being better than an SNES version. But does it have load time? That would spoil it for me. Anyway, I now get my Fatal Fury fix from the FATAL FURY BATTLE ARCHIVES VOL 1&2 on the PS2.
Cool! thanks for the heads up! Power Quest sounds like my cup of tea. I chose this game based on the "mega Man" type artwork on the cart and the low price. Now I've got to boot it up! thanks again!
LOL! Yeah, I really bought that game for $4.48. Can't read my own notes! People found that line funny so I let it ride. No annotations! LOL! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Dude sweet pick-ups. I am currently also having a bunch of fun with my GameBoy Player with PokeMon Silver(Totally recommend). Also I wish I would have thought like a collector when I was younger college would have been paid for haha.
Just remember, sometimes the best current gen games to collect are the ones that don't get a lot of fanfare. From a collectors standpoint ... that could be a GOOD thing! Snatch 'em up!
Thanks! Funny thing is, when N64 games are offered at that Salvation Army they are usually $2.99! But on that day, this batch of games were price at a buck a piece! I got lucky! LOL! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Yeah, those are Sega Master System games in the background! The bulk of my SMS collection was donated by my childhood friends Louis and Brian (brothers). They abandoned their Sega collection when the newer consoles came out. When we became adults, my friends were cleaning out the junk from their parents house and found their old SMS games. The console had already been given away to a relative. But they gave me all the games! I found a system about a month later. Thanks for watching!
You have nothing to be jealous about! I saw your SMS Game Collection video and your set has a nice amount of titles with some that I don't even own ... especially your imports like Bubble Bobble and Psychic World! I will do a video about my SMS games in the future and you'll see what I have.
I actually think that Wavebird receiers aren't specific to a particular Wavebird controller. I actually own two complete Wavebirds for my original Gamecube and I can mix and match all the time. I just have to make sure that I match the correct frequency channel to whatever Wavebird I'm using. Now the problem is ... I have to find a loose receiver in some pile of junk at some thrift store! LOL! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Dude, thank you so much for the offer! But you don't need to send it to me. Anyway, I enjoy the thrill of the hunt! Maybe you can trade your Wavebird to another collector who has a game that you need! Thanks again! :-)
Rarity 3 for Road Runner (Genesis) means that it is readily available. Not as common on the street but a lot of collectors have it. So it's FAR from rare. But certain areas around the US may place this game as R1 ... dirt common. Maybe it was a real popular game at one time in your city and that's why you can find it everywhere! :-)
Yeah, but it doesn't really pay to be dishonest. I'm gald I didn't switch that price sticker. I would have felt bad for weeks! LOL! Thanks for watching!
It pays to be honest HaHa great story man. Is that a Kirby Super Nintendo model two box in the background? I'm about to be jealous if it is !!! LOL!!!
Yes, that is a Kirby Super Star Super Nintendo Model 2 box in the background ... exclusively from Target. I had mentioned it in my BOXED SUPER NINTENDO video that came before this Pick Ups one. I guess I never took it down from the shelf before I started filming. I bought this console long ago even though I had the model 1. I just like the way the "junior" looked. And I didn't have Kirby Super Star yet and the price was right ... 50 bucks! Thanks for watching and check out my BOXED SNES video!
LOL! Yeah, I checked the receipt and it turns out I spent $4.48 not $4.98. I can't read my own notes! LOL! But anyway, I didn't use an annotation on the video because people found it so funny that I saved a freakin' penny! Let it ride I say! LOL! Anyway, thanks for commenting and watching!
Great pickups! I wish the Phantasy Star Collection had PS IV.
Great story about looking for that receiver and almost putting that sticker on that cord! I was rooting for you to find receiver, but you got the cord for cheaper than you would have paid! Awesome stuff!
Yeah! I wish they had put Phantasy Star IV there too! Maybe there was a memory constraint on the GBA cart. But it's truly not a "PHANTASY STAR COLLECTION" without the 4th installment!!
LOL! Lots of people liked that story about the lost receiver and the GBA link cable. Turns out I made the right decision. Honesty is the best policy! Thanks for watching and commenting. I await your next video!
LOL HAHAAAA!! Well well! Me and you have something in common also; we both have a small library of PS3 games. Hey let me know when you have your PSN set up so I can add you dude. GREAT vis, YOUNG man!! XD LOL
Yeah, Afrika and Lost Planet were my 16th and 17th games for PS3. I just got my PS3 in December of 2008 (mainly because I wanted to play Strret Fighter 4) so I guess I'm not doing too bad. But my Wii and 360 collection totally beat out my PS3 library. My PSN gamertag is: BicepKing72. Cheesey I know! LOL!
Oh and I definitely need to get one of thos GBA to GCN cables for myself. You can use that cable to use the GBA as a controller when playing games with the GB Player. I hate playing Gameboy games with the CCN controller!
I didn't know you could use a GBA as a controller for the GBP when you connected the link cable! Thanks for the heads up! These cables do pop up at thrift stores from time to time. This is the second one I've seen in the past year. Hope you get one soon! Thanks for watching and commenting!
It will probably a total luck find if I ever find that Wavebird receiver. But you never know. I go to a lot of junk stores and I see PS2 wireless receivers from time to time. Anyway, I actually own two complete Wavebirds from when the Gamecube was a viable system. So I'm not really hurting for wireless gameplay. Thanks for watching and commenting!
LOL! That dude was actually pretty cool. I think he just thought it was just a strange purple wire from a VCR or something. Either way, I'm going to him every time I shop at the Salvation Army! Thanks for watching and commenting!
LOL! It seems lots of people liked that story about the sticker switching! Yeah, I'm glad I didn't do it, lest I hate myself for weeks! I just too honest a guy to do such a thing. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Yeah, Natsume always brought out the weird titles from Japan. I think they brought out a strange game called CHULIP on the PS2. It's a kissing game and a GameStop exclusive! It's totally weird and I had to pick it up! I don't know if you saw from my Boxed SNES Video, but I have a game called NATSUME CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING that is SO Japanese I'm amazed they decided to bring it here. All the wrestlers are pretty much Japanese guys!! But I love it!! thanks for watching and commenting!
Yeah, I couldn't switch the ticket from the picture frame to the cable. I wouldn't be able to live with myself! I feel bad when I miss the garbage can and I don't pick up my litter! LOL! Hope all is well with you!!
No real collecting or gaming goals this year. As always, I'm hoping to get a complete a library of North American SNES games. I'm sure it can be done, but it may take a looong while! Not sure where I'm at yet. Maybe I'm at 60 to70% if you combine my loose and boxed SNES collections. Maybe. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Great pickups! I too need to start collecting more for my PS3 because I only have 18 games for it so far. I too tend to collect a lot of niche titles, but more times than not those are the games I like.
Well you're ahead of me when it comes to PS3 games. Afrika and Lost Planet just became my 16th and 17th games. I don't know what it is about the console, but the titles on PS3 don't "grab" me as much as stuff that shows up on Wii (or even Xbox 360). I think it's because Wii has such strange off beat titles (like the NES and SNES had) and 360 has arcade and retro compilations. PS3 games look pretty, but I'm attracted to strange and odd! Niche all the way, baby! Thanks for watching and commenting!
I like dthe story abot the thrift store. it's so true sometimes you just want it that cheap lol.
great idea picking up fatal fury special.
I know what you mean when it comes to collecting niche titles versus the common mega sellers "cod6" or whatever. I'll never sell my copy of Valkyria Chronicles (it's also a great game)
Yeah, I couldn't ever justify ticket switching. That would've haunted me for weeks! LOL!
Fatal Fury Special may one day be my bargaining chip!
I'm glad someone else besides me appreciates the niche titles on current gen. I've heard so many good things about Valkyria Chronicles. It's good that you picked it up. Could be the next "Chrono Trigger" for the PS3 when it goes retro. And then you can laugh when you see 100 copies of COD in the bargain bin! LOL! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Valkyria chronicles got a price drop to 29.99 so if you savvy online I bet there are still places sellin for around 30-40 dollars. I strongly suggest playing it. it's got a great playable demo.
Thanks! A bunch of N64 stuff this time around. Not my favorite retro console, really. I favor the SNES, NES and Genesis more. But hey ... you can't beat a buck each! Thanks for watching!
@Caztro72 yuppps2 i must agree, my fav is SNES and Genesis. But ouhh well like you said cant beat a buck each. too bad In my country not soo much thrif stores to find some retro games.
