  • In strict terms - "advancing the art of the electric blues guitar" - Johnny A does this. As no one has since Stevie Ray Vaughn. The advancement came fast and furious thrru the 60's but has slowed. Where do you go with this format? The blues greats did their thing and the british greats and Stevie..... And now, Johnny A. Too bad it took me so long to catch up to him, but this my friends, is something special.

  • One of the greatest guitar players EVER! Yes EVER!

  • The drummer is the best part about this vid tbh

  • from that first bend you know he's an amazing guitarist. and it only gets better. and better. and better.

  • This is called "gittin' down to business"...and Johnny doesn't fuck around, he MEANS it!

  • Good lord, the tone he has in this clip is absolutely amazing.

  • kinda makes ya wanna pound back a 26er of jack, smoke a big gagger, lie down in a beautiful field and stare at the chemtrails all day long,,

  • Brilliant! This cat can really play! Beautiful piece and a beautiful guitar. Played one today at True Tone in Santa Monica. Pricey, but worth it.

  • very nice

  • nice

  • the venue really needed to sell some ad space in the background? Capitalist assbags - good cover though - get a singer and you got it goin on

  • @jahovahut Yes, thank the "Capitalist assbags" as you so stupidly and immaturely put it, for every damn thing in your worthless life that makes it worth continuing to breath. Tell you what, please place all trappings, cash, possessions and all other material possessions in the GoodWill bin and go on about your silly life naked and homeless. Fool.

  • @rdoctbr I think you need to chill. He was just kidding around. What are you, some kind of capitalist assbag or something? XD

  • insane tone

  • me encanto su estilo... interesante

  • The last two times I saw JA, he was play through a G-System with Butler Tube Drivers (3: one for each distortion level), and Marshall JMP-1, which setting was never chained: just used in the loop as a clean preamp. Then through the PA and stage monitors.

  • I envy anyone who got to see Johnny A in concert, especially this one.

    Beyond "soulful..."

  • Great tone for sure! Do you know what he's playing through?

  • He plays through a 3 channel marshall combo.

  • Actually, Hes playing through Marshall preamps going though the mains with the monitors cranked cause he has no stage volume. Trust me!

  • How about depth of feeling , patience and intensity when called for? Listen and Get INSIDE

  • Always over the top fantastic, he and his band always leave you exhilarated and exhausted. I see them where ever and whenever they are available!

  • Johnnie A sho can play!!!

  • Comment removed

  • He sho do!

  • Love Jonny A., but wtf is up with dat hair?

  • There's a "red hair" in the yonder babe. WAY too short, Johnny could riff this out for hours, it's awesome. Way more "throat" on that guitar than on his body. When he points her down, I'm sure he could divine up some well water.........natchul born man....hoo hooo yeeeeaaaahhh...he keeps me "satified"
