Yea i immediately thought RHCP, BUT come on PPL this is Iranian music we're talkin about. It's a new angle to play at. No longer do we have the only options of sonnti or band tonbuni. Amen to modernism in Iranian music. They've come a looooong way. AND who gives a crap if they copied someone else? It happens so much in the west that you no longer even comment about it when it happens. Chill and enjoy,
dametoon garm, bache ha kheyli vaght bood ke fekr mikardam bayad ye edeh e bashan to iran ke funk bezanan va be in khoobi bezanan jedan world class, vali kashki esmatoono midonestam, be har hal dame hamatoon garm,
yeah it's a RHCP rippoff alrite! it was the thing with kiosk everybody said its a dire strait rippoff but i didnt care cause it wasnt the music i liked about kiosk it was the CONTENT! it was the lyrics that i could sympathize with and look at from a very personal point of view rock is not just about the music its a CULTURE and this thing is from the same CULTURE that i am thats why i like it and i can understand it a lot easier than RHCP
i listen to these guys i listen to kiosk and i see myself i see my own life and things happening to it every day in my own country and in my own culture! not some 4 guys in california from a totally different background! i like RHCP and all those other bands and i can sympathize with those too but not like my own "HAMVATAN"S!
Come on people. I dont care if these guys have copied primus, zappa or whatever. not a big deal. , how many bands have copied black sabbath, nirvana, venom, iron maiden etc.? shitloads. in fact thats how you start. and for start these guys are awsome. the problem is not too many bands back in iran play rock. so if u do you are in a hot spot! seriously, how many iranian bands do you know who play acid-funk rock??? they should get some credit for that.
hellyeah man! every cool riff or idea has already been done by sabbath, deep purple, Zeppelin, hendrix, zappa and all the others! everything else is just a variation or alteration of those ideas! i like these guys n i couldnt give 2 shits about the fact that they've copied or whatever! by the way, i dont think primus ever used this term "hame chi be laye pamoon!!!"

where is this tune from?
that is a message I recieved and I think I should answer it : this song is the song "charlie" from stadium arcaduim Red hot, and the a repeatetive part from Can't stop from the same band.
I do like and appreciate those kind of artists. They did a huge thing in their ages and we unfortunately had not many like them. Start everything off the scratch is hard and not many artists can do that. Actually currently, what matters to many of our artists is to sing some cheap (mostly rap) songs and get popular and of course our ppl are helping them in their ways too!
On the other hands, one of the reasons to stop us from improving is bounds for bands to work properly inside the country.
I agree with almost half of your words. By copying we can't improve, but but sitting quiet we can't neither. What we have done in last years in our music?? Just produce some routine songs, and songs that are almost all the same we some minor differences. I don't agree to copy another melody and just sing it with another lyric although I may like it, but it's not all what they are doing. They at least sang some songs that their melody were not just a copy... I don't know I may mistake, but anyway
I like to see somebody start everything off the scratch. we had "ali naghi vaziri" who did it a century ago, then nothing in that matter up to the "hezar dastan" ost. I like to see somebody influenced by them making a rock song. listen to tool for instance. they are so influenced by our music. I think we need to undrestand how they think not what they play. dont get me wrong I'm making music videos for rock bands, I wanna show somthing that they cant say: yeah thats nothing new, just rip offs.
That is the way our country has worked for the past 35 years and it has been going down from the beginning.
When you copy, you dont improve; you just fool yourself that you have something. There is such thing as originality and putting Iranian lyrics on top of someone elses music is not it. Neither imitating someones style, nor combining bunch of different things. There is fusion and there is mixing.
They have Arabic rap and Russian acid rock but is it original? Is it going to improve their music? No it makes us laugh at them for copying others work but we are blinded to our own because of our national pride or whatever.
What these people do is not making a culture or anything like that its called 15 min of fame and fortune. Look at all the pop bands that take other bands tunes and mix it with rap or bull shit like that.
I like primus and red hot chillis and couple of other bands. lets make an other band and rip'em off. in fact lets all make bands and put iranian lyrics for the songs we used to like.
we did it to dire straits and shocking blues and what not, why let anyone getaway. after all mohsen namjoo and kiosk and others got away with with it. these people are way too dumb to realize it. lets get famous for free! yupii. dont bother telling me to go fuck myself I know your reaction. it's way to soon for my nation to be tolorant of different opinions.
I don't know Ballgard much but we DID NEED singers and bands like "Mohsen Namjoo" and "Kiosk", not just now, but so long ago! It doesn't depend upon whether anyone like them or not; they certainly are playing a big role in changin and improving iranian music.
So what? You wanted to not have them and instead stick just to our old folk and pop songs?! I assure you that we can't ever improve our music this way. :)
then you have that other guy putting phony love lyrics over another brick in the wall and then theres no stop to it. because its ok that I like a song and wanna be lovedWe had a huge gap in our music and the result is what we have today. We sure are confused but filling the void with this is not gonna take us anywhere. Bottom line is you can like whatever you like its your personal choice Im not gonna argue with that. Just know that this is improvement. Not even close.
it maybe would have been a little more useful if you tried to play something yourself instead of passing this lame and so well known critique about copying.
"LAME" is to attack people for their opinion. "RETARDED" is to ask people to come up with something better and not criticize. so in your opinion all music, movie, etc critiques must have made a piece? sorry that's not the way world works.
adj. 1. Often Offensive Affected with mental retardation. 2. Occurring or developing later than desired or expected; delayed.
works fine for this occasion.
you have to look up the word criticism that you obviously have no understanding of. you didnt criticize shit. you just asked me to play something! (by the way how on earth you know that I dont?) you're just pissed that I dont like what you like! and that is retarded.
