i had one before and mad is it cool, games run at like 600+ fps, i had to connect 4 1920 x 1200 in vertical mode (1920x4800) and with all features on, games still ran at over 100 fps.

@gumberly Yes it does. Your CPU says "draw this" and you GPU draws it and also handles things like sounds and events. If you have a slow CPU it won't utilise your GPU's full speed thus creating a bottleneck.

This also works both ways so you need a balance in speed on the CPU and GPU to get the full potential.

AMD's Instanbul is easily bested by Nehalem-EX. What's more Instanbul is NOT scalable, only to 4 sockets compared to reportedly 256 sockets (an incredible 4096 threads compared to 48!) and has more RAM.

performance benchmarks lol yea sure i have 10 year old intel xeon ws but it still takes 4 days to compile 8gb source code, not too bad but multicore very high multithreading would sure improve but by what half 4 days to 2 days or would it pull it to hours or minutes lol. i need one monitor for realtime redering and anouther for development, programing individual threads abd cores is a must and the opertunity to have allot of them is wow. if i can get it in one box with 2 processor sockets wow.
