@ZackHourihane I know im not tyson lol but i have the same camera too and i have the same problem... im gonna assume you have the kit lens. Just set the switch on the side of the lens to AF (auto focus) the go into video mode and then from there go into the menu and then go to the AF settings and set it to Live AF.... if that doesnt work... try half pressing the shutter button when your in video mode and it should focus... HOPE THIS HELPS!!! p.s. my camera isnt in fron of me so message me!!
