Wisconsin people are the coolest. The protests in Madison were thoughtful, intelligent, and creative. People were there from all over the state - farmers, police, families, teachers, business people, firefighters. It was amazing to be there - truly democracy in action. I was in Madison protesting the past 3 days and I can assure you it was peace, love, and harmony. Everybody thanking everybody else all the time, continual handing out of food and water (I passed out vegie pizza yesterday!) and the cops chatting with us and taking photos with the interesting looking protesters on their camera phones. I was in a riot once (got hit with a billy club, OW) and I can assure you there was zero rioting going on here.

Why do you think our unemployment is so high ? 2/3rds of the corporations that help get Walker elected pay NO taxes and haven't paid taxes since 1998. Public workers deserve what they do, they teach, take care of people, and save lives. They get paid well less knowing they'll get paid less but get decent benefits.
