dont even attempt to replicate this, this is highly dangerous. any equipment inside a spraybooth must be zone 1 rated. the heater and the fan are not and could potentially provide a source of ignition for the paint fumes and overspray.
Although a lot of people may criticize your spraying technique I assumed it may be because you haven't sprayed waterborne before, thus you were being careful and didn't want to apply to liberally. I do have to question your choice of gun. I mean the SATA Jet's are fantastic, but for use in a garage? You will have far more issues caused by the garage set-up before the quality of the gun effects the paint finish. (Overspray not getting withdrawn from the booth, bugs, dust etc). Good vid though!
that is a beautiful blue. Did you guys do this in a garage? Im going to paint my 88 mustang gt convertible pink but I don't know if I should make a booth in my garage or go rent a booth. How did you guys keep it clean in there?
i dont kno whats going on with your technique. get an apprenticeship mate you will learn so much more... just go in one motion on ur edges not back and forth.... constant distance contant speed not jerky movements.... just smoooooth :)
That should be painted in 1minute. You have a good gun, nice setup there, but thechnique is´t too good. Although everybody does it differently.
Pay attention to gun distance and mainain parrallel with the surface to gun, 90degrees angle and don´t whip your hand like that. You´ll never do a good candy job like that
Practise!! It´svery nice hobby. My hobby became occupation :)
looks like a reasonably safe set up. What do you think id need to do to be ablle to respray motorcycle tanks/panels etc?? Do you think i would need to do a spray booth like yours in the garage with some fans?
Very very good! Anybody who posted less than 4 stars is an idiot. You spray like you have no idea what your doing but I'm sure the job came out great! For any of us professional painters if we tried that it would come out like crap but it seemed to wo rk great for you.
Other then that I'd strongly suggest a filter infront of the exhaust fan otherwise that wont last much longer.
could not get white plastic the day we were doining it . as for the question about water based primer the answer i think is yes but we used a 2k system cheers
Rule No. 1 ---Spray pattern is flat to the surface, not in an arc as buddy here is doing...

My brother owns a Sata Jet 3000b Foose Edition and recently painted his car in the shed. Turned out great.
