@GojyotheFeared yeah buts what we have now is ridiculous they need to make good shows for the kids these day people if you watched these shows back then, write, draw and come up with some quality shows so kids can have shows as good as the ones we grew up with
Sesame street is being pushed aside for Dora and Nicktoons is being replaced by Spongebob and Fairly Odd Parents, and our superheros are being replaced by Ben ten and regurgitated remakes and crapuals(sequals).
We have officially scraped the bottom of the barrel.
@GojyotheFeared yeah we need good story less random crap, Disney needs to make more adventure series something as good as Gargoyles or Ducktales, Nickelodeon needs some good series and Cartoon Network need some better cartoons, people how old are people watching this under 20? if so we were the generation that watched these series that could make some great series for the next generation
As far as Disney is conserned, I'll take Gargoyles and anything up to the Lion King. Everything after just doesn't seem to add up.
Cartoon Network: Grew up with the old Toonami. DBZ, Rouroni Kenshin, Yu Yu Hakusho and G Gundam were my shows
Also grew up with the original tutles. This is one of those where I actually like the newer series over the original. I mean, sure, I loved the turtles no matter the form. (except turtles 3. TMNT also seemed to not make much sense, but
was definately a cut above III) Where the remake was concerned though, it had better animation, better character developement and they didn't take Mikey's Knunchcks away. Seriously, that didn't make much sense.
All of this kinda spured my interest in anime too. 3 of my favorites are Cowboy Bebop, Wolf's Rain and Samurai 7 (Samurai 7 is actually a samurai/sci-fi spin on the original Seven Swordsmen which is where the American western classic, The Magnificent Seven came from. Just an fyi! :P )
@GojyotheFeared I know freaking love the seven samurai i got the poster for the movie and nice taste in anime those are some of my favs too might i recommend Samurai Champloo its a great series and if one day our generation creates quality shows for the next with the values and quality of the cartoons and animes we watch, we could make shows as good or even better then the ones we grew up with
-sighs- they just don't make shows like these anymore.
I can't help but be drawn to the seriously(or cheesily in the case of G Gundam) dramatic.
Key ingredients to what I consider to be a great show.
1. Decent animation
2. A storyline that doesn't get so drawn out at every turn (DBZ has this flaw with drawing out everything at every turn. But the animation and the character developement help to make up for this flaw)
3. Interesting characters with decent character development.
Wel,, I have actually been mulling over some ideas for a book that could become a series if I put some effort into it. But I haven't really put pen to paper yet.
I was thinking about something along the lines of a furry or furry/human world (you know, kind of a mix like in DBZ) with an independant militaristic group that appears peaceful and helpful to the public eye, but in secret acquires funds through governmental aids and grants with a possible united furry/human movement
@GojyotheFeared yeah but would it be a good kids show that treats them like beings that can understand a good plot, developed characters and ideologies not the adhd inducing shlock they put up now a days God I fell old
Wolf's Rain: Stray is a definate and Gravity really encompasses what the series is about. (Plus the dreamy Kiba. I can stare into those eyes all day and night.)
Cowboy Bebop: The song at the end of the final episode is just sheer brilliance and the final scene leaves open to several idea points. In my mind, this is the perfect anime because it leaves people talking about it. Love it or hate it, it's definately one that will endure.
it is SOO cool seeing a place i live near in a cartoon, lol. ive seen the Anaheim Pond many times ;D

Oh yea.
It's not going to be some "See the squirrel. Look at the squirrel run. Look at the squirrel eat nuts" shit.
What kids want is something that treats them like an adult, or a teenager. Not like some mentally disabled shumk.
I was thinking about pushing the edge with a little grit. You know, showing a little signs of war induced trauma without taking it to the extreme.

climax or a human vs furry climax.
I haven't exactly decided which yet. It depends on whether I'll go with a prerequisite of human/furry violence or a furry/human mesh.
