Thank you for this, Ondynne. A and Marcy were golden together. Somebody needs to cast them in a great movie. A was on Raines with Jeff Goldblum last year and he made me cry. His son and daughters are singers and have music clips up on YouTube, and the whole family has a music video up called "Buckys Trouble." It's really good. Broke racial barriers?? What the hell was Star Jones talking about? It's always a black person that has to bring up the raoial difference, but c'mon there's not much difference between White and Hispanic. It's only a BIG deal if its black and white couple.

Actually, Star is right and it wasn't a black person that brought out the concern ... the concern was started on the show itself. The writers didn't think that its audience would want to see a working class Mexican and a white anglo-saxon princess in a relationship. However, Marcy Walker and the viewing public got the writers to see that the chemistry between Cruz and Eden was undeniable. So in fact it did break racial barrier for daytime tv at that particular time.

In EVERY Miss Universe conrest, there's always countless exotic Latin women in the finals. And from this clip, Star brought up that crap up to embarass A. Martinez, so she should've just saved that comment.

View it for yourself, "Early Marcy & A Interview". There are a few other interviews I've either seen and/or read regarding their relationship and ethnicity. Star's comments were justified within the context of that particular show and the years it was broadcast. As for the rest of your divergent comments ... well, you're just too deep for me.
