THe second gear noise is normal, because that is where the turbos gives all its boost, making the car go to the redline very quick.

Its not launch control, its anti lag.

Keeps turbos spining so there's no lag. Used on rally cars, and not street legal.

Not gonna question whether u have a cossie or not, but I do question your knowledge.

Launch control would have nothing to do with the popping and flames, thats purely down to the anti lag. Launch control, gives optimum power delivery to wheels. Being that this is an RS4, which has 4 wheel drive, I doubt it'll have launch control on it.

ALS didnt "kick in" either, it was on from start, thats why it was popping and banging at a standstill.

well dont know what you know but als and lc are on the car and its programmed for lc at standstill and als between the gear changes. were talking about LAG not boost THRESHOLD so fuck knows how it works when the cars on idle :?

ALS keeps the turbos spinning, even at idle. This means the turbos have instant boost. Hence the name.....Anti-Lag. This allows air to bypass closed throttle and go straight to engine. Its known as a throttle air bypass valve so you get instant boost from standstill. ALS is mechanical engineering and doesnt mean the car has to have launch control.

LC is run through cars computer. And controls spiining of the wheels.

All i'm saying is, because car has ALS doesnt mean it has to have LC.

@Husee1233 i dont think he went from 1 to 1, it would have jolted the car when he let the clutch out. i think he was just to slow taking the clutch out and to heavy on the accelerator when he changed from 1 to 2, causing it to hit the limiter :)

yes when fuel is dumped into the downpipe after the turbo when reving wiht a launch control instaled, the turbo spools extremely rapidly. andthe stock smg is not made to shift wiht 800 + horsepower....
