Tatiana is not necessarily lying about what happened. She simply should not have publicly said anything about it. It is obvious that MJ did not end up with her, so why not simply keep her private business to herself? She puts herself out there to be called a liar when she decides to publicly air her dirty laundry. What people are really questioning is her motives. Why get the general public involved in a failed relationship? Whether he wanted her or not, he didn't end up with her. That's fact.

@Marien18292 I agree. Michael hated to hurt people's feelings, but I think if he told her right out that he did not like in that way then she would have not drawn all these conclusions. Tatiana could have also taken him aside and asked him if all the rumours were true. They just needed to communicate and clear the air.

@cmt4eva I am not totally sure if Katherine was lying mostly because Katherine is such a religious person. I think she wanted Michael to have someone in his life so bad that she listened to the rumours started by Tatiana and Craig, Michael's stand - in. Katherine even stated in her book that she thought Michael's life would be richer if he had someone special in his life. I think Katherine was just impatient about Michael meeting that special someone and tried to make it happen herself.
