In second grade, our teachers would make us wait outside and then when the bell rang, they would let us in, so I would hit my nose on a pole so that it would bleed, so that I could be the first kid inside the building. Not my best decision.

i have nosebleeds..one time when i was little.. my friend's nose started bleeding and we were on the playground and 5 minutes later my nose started bleeding and so there we were both sitting on a bench holding tissues to our noses...and once i had one on Christmas wen i was little so i sat in a box with my head tilted backward for 30 minutes.. fun!

Seventh grade.... almost EVERY Spanish class I got a nose bleed... but this only happened for like... 2 weeks..... and the weird thing is we had the A/B schedule (A days you go to 4 classes, B days you go to a different 4 classes and the class periods were like an hour long each...) so it was only on A days during 2nd period sometimes they'd last for lik 10 seconds and cold pull it off as a runny nose but sometimes it was like a waterfall that got all over my test, only during Spanish...

Friday i fractured my nose and i have never had a nose nleed in my life and i think i found out why. I am one of those people that my face is attracted to basketballs, footballs, dodgeball and soccerballs. And i have been pegged pretty hard and all that happened was i just stood there. Well when i fractured my nose the blood got clogged up in the back of my nose and i just could not breath.

I may not have such frequent nosebleeds. But every now and then, if I scratch or bump my nose the Niagara falls of blood happenns.

P.S in my babysitting hand book it said to NEVER tilt the head back when dealing with the nosebleed. I've lived by that. Plus I do not enjoy hacksawing by throat for the next half our coughing up blood. (I'm a singer. I need that.)

When I was 3, I hit the sharp corner of a chair and had nosebleed issues for 15 to 20 years. So yeah, there's that. I don't have them anymore but this reminds me of those times. I bled sometimes for 10 to 17 minutes...

I feel your pain Rhett (well, not the pain of that dart). I've just started to grow out of my nosebleeds, or at least I hope I have. A few years back I tried to get my nose cauterized and the doc applied some local anesthetic. Well when he was ready I told him the anesthetic didn't work but he reassured me it did and jammed the silver nitrate up my nose. It was about this time I felt some of the worst pain of my life. And on top of that, it didn't work.
