I used to play this when I was about 10 and it got to the stage I could complete it in about half an hour lol. Haven't seen it since about 1993, so thanks for the memories. Star Light zone was always my fav :)

Great Walkthrough as always. Btw Pkgam, earlier today, at the anime convention that I'm now attending,I got an autograph from Jason Griffith (the current english voice actor for Sonic the Hedgehog). Also, I met 2 Sonic cosplay hotties, one was dressed a Rouge the Bat, and the other was dressed as Amy Rose. Anyway.... Your question made me VERY curious... so I went and tried it out, lol!

If you don't jump at him as he's slowly hovering away, Sonic will pause and look up at him floating away... but it goes to the ending as usual.

So, technically nothing I guess? Besides Sonic looking up and Robotnik not blowing up.

But I don't think I'll ever to walkthroughs on the bonus stages... I never liked bonus stages in Sonic games, so I never got good at them. I LOVED the stages though, lol!

when your chaos emeralds go above you, it creates emerald hill zone, iit makes like, the flowers, more platforms, and that good stuff.

From what I could tell.. just the flowers... No new platforms... Or graphics that resemble Emerald Hill. But even the flowers that are created aren't in Emerald hill zone. They are way too big to be any flower in EH.

I'm not surprised. Congestion from a cold/flu takes a while to completely get rid of. Especially if you get a sinus infection with the cold.

I'll probably start doing videos when I am feeling physically well and my voice is good enough because I'm getting the itch to do so. XD

Funny though, I don't get colds often anymore like when I was a kid (knocks wood, lol jk!). I used to get 2-3 colds a year as a kid, now I haven't had a cold in like 2 years! o_O So I'm not used to them anymore.

now i cant do marble 3 there will be im using mega collection and on Labyrinth boss go too slow and you`ll drown. like on chemical plant 2. this note will help a lot:next walkthrough get the chaos emeralds it will help. try some glitches. why did the game maker ban the spin dash it is good this game yes i remember go middle speed on Labyrinth boss. i just want to do a speed run now just use the items you`ve missed ok

For all those stages you mentioned having trouble with, I actually found that you save time if you play it patiently and jump when you have the chance to get throguh. You waste more time getting hit and falling back then just bypassing the obstacles.

But speedruns... are a different story, lol! They require crazy moves to get by fast. go to speeddemosarchive(dot)com to see speed tricks for the game.

The game maker didn't ban the spindash, it just wasn't invented yet.

Patience is key to beating Labyrinth 3's boss. Go too fast and you'll be knocked back down.

Yeah, I know that method on beating Green Hill 3's boss, I was showing the easiest way for the people.

Yes, sonic can hang on to tails, but only in 2 player mode.

I hope so! Water stages in Sonic games take time to get used to because of the slow physics. That may have been why.

I think it's a personal preference thing. I rarely have trouble using this but end up ramming myself into balls if I try and run under them, lol!

Interesting way to fight the last boss. I usually just run to the other side of the room and then run back to my original spot to dodge the glowing balls of death.

That would work too since they angle themselves slightly toward you. effectively moving themselves away from the corners.

The treu ending is: sonic is running in green hill. He uses the emerald to bring back all the plants and does the close-up. After the credits Eggman is shown jumping on words.

Once, I got all the way to the final zone after the 2nd act, with all the emeralds, then when you're supposed to fall it glitched so I was endlessly falling. I tried again, including emeralds again, and it happened again. On the third try I made it and saw the true ending.

It's one of those kinds of games you have as a kid and overplay it, lol! It's all about practice, you'll beat it too if you continue to play it!

I think this game was made in 1991 so it's 18 years old! I was 3 when it was released... But the game beat you by 3 years! lol!

You can just run under the electric ball things at the end. It's a little easier IMO. But the walkthrough was entertaining to watch. I beat Sonic 1 on my Wii then decided to watch smomeone else do it.

I know you can run under them, but... You accelerate faster in the air then you do just by running, so you'll have a higher chance of getting back to the safe, far-right side quicker by jumping rather then running before the "squish". But, as you guessed, there are different ways to beat this boss so using what you like always works best! :D

After I read this I had to go and finally see it, lol! That's not a ending really worth getting all the emeralds for is it? XD lol! It didn't change very much... The only difference was he was stomping up and down angrily on the word "end", lol!

But one day I'll still try and get the emeralds anyway! I'm a completist, lol!
