Music is not about difficulty, even a "simple tune" (which I can not play btw, lol... I just play bass!) can give positive vibrations, and Close Cover does...

I don't understand why would anyone ever choose to play this tune live. It's the kind of simple tune that would have been great to have composed, but is so effortlessly played by any first year piano student. Just leave it in a Wim Mertens record where it belongs.

Well, I just saw Wim Mertens playing it live. One choses to play it live because it is beautiful. If a song would be written using only 2 keys and it was truy beautfiul, why not play it live? A live performance can be all sorts of things, not exclusively a showcase of technical ability, but also for example a sharing of feelings and musical passion.
