This was after the Soprannos had ended.Hes talking about the ending of the series.Great observation by Johnny Sack though, lolDont know his real name..
Whoa wait a minute, he said the two black guys were the same ones that tried to kill Tony? Hell one of those guys was killed in the attempt on Tony's life, Vince must have either forgot that or was just talking out of his ass.
@Athenesword14 he means symbolically not literally the same guys! The 2 black guys represent the 2 that attempted to kill him before. Obviously its not the same EXACT guys
people don't seem to remember, that at the last phone conv phil had with butchie, phil told him he's breaking off, meaning sth like. you are weak. i don't trust you anymore. then they had the sit down and then later phil was killed. but during that time, phil could have hired that man who sat at the bar in the final scene.
just a thought.
i too think tony got shot, given the whole scenario and editing of the final, brilliant scene. i discovered this series late. but thank you sopranos!
@tubenshaft fuck sakes your right man, that's the same thing i thought too! like as if Phil said "whatever happens, even if I get clipped, finish the job."
Correct me if I am mistaken but my understanding is that the members only guy or anyone else who would have merked Tony never appeared on the show before.
As I think about it, I reckon the point of it was "you never see it coming" It was clear that Tony would be killed, he took out a boss without permission - practically signed his own "contract" It could've been anybody in the cafe, or none of them.
It's been that long since I watched the last few episodes/season, I can't remember. I remember watching Phil's murder though and thinking "Tony is a dead man..." and my reasoning as I watched it was he didn't have permission from the NY families, plus with all the other problems like Vito being gay and Tony's handling of that, and trying to kill his mother, plus disobeying Johnny Sacks once he was boss.
Like I say though, it's been that long since i watched it.
Johnny Sack needs to hire a better publicist. Why is he doing some bullshit public access show?

Gee whiz, where did they tape this, in some guy's cellar? How about a link to a transcript, so I can figure out what they're saying?

If I remember correctly, didn't he have permission from Philly's capos to take him out when they met in the freezing warehouse?
