@bwc3821 It's the Portsmouth Symphonia, an amazing orchestra from the 70s where the only rule was they all had to perform on instruments they couldn't play. They were all professional musicians on other instruments. Regular concert goers would walk out of their performances because they didn't understand it was meant to be comedy.

It's not really a fail, it's deliberate. It's called the Portsmouth Sinfonia. They did many recordings, even had a hit in the UK. The records sell for big bucks on eBay. Still funny as hell though.

Does nobody know what this is? It was an Orchestra called Portsmith Sinfonia. It was an experiment that created an orchestra solely of non musicians or musicians playing instruments they had never played before. It's pretty interesting really.

Fail, none the less, but they did actually get quite good at their instruments after a while. This is a very early recording, possibly even the first.
