I'm torn between buying a GTX 460 1 Gb or a HD 6850......from reviews the 6850 overall should be a bit better but i heared it has some bug on CSS, something to do with texture tearing. Idk what to buy :(

Trust me..you need configs :p. also, type cl_crosshairscale (insert amount) into console aswell. I use 6000, but above 5000 it doesnt do much. All it does is make your crosshair smaller.

I can run CSS on my old rig at around 30-70fps(depending on how much action is going on) 1.7Pentium4 Nvidia 6200 and 1gb of ram. Thats with settings maxed out.

Putsipa, CSS Only rly requires a small geffix card and good Ghz.

I got 2.7 Dual AMD. and Onboard and I get arnd 30 FPS With high settings, and 50-60 With Med. NO AA. Im buying Sapph HD4850 and gettinn win7 soon for xmas

ey i have normally 160 (max 440)fps but if i turn FRAPS on it goes down till 60fps :S is that normal, i dont know how the program works...

have you turned vsync off? vsync drops your fps to your screens refresh rates but it is better as it will stop ingame sctratched and after the fps of your screens refresh rate u dont notice any diffrence from 60 lol

the hd version of this looks sweet, my pc is crap, i bought it in 2003, i ran css on my pc and it was so slow that the in game countdown took so long that for it to make 1 second, it took 3 seconds in real life

you have vertical sync enabled, which syncs the framerate to your monitors refresh rate, which is presumably 60hz. If you turn off "wait for vertical sync" or whatever its called, your mouse will feel quicker.
