The late great Mickey Newbury wrote this. One of the best songwriters of our time. Everyones covered his songs but not many people know who he is. Newbury's, in my opinion, is a hell of a lot better than this.

actually, it might be even as late as '91...since ya see Blair Cunningham playing drums. But, the original sound is from a year or so before...half live and half studio recording
