@sasukehaseo You can start the combo anyway you want. This version uses the wall bounce so anyway you can combo into thewall and start the loop is fine. And it low H into light judgment cut (it's in the description.
If I use low+L, low+M, low+H, Stinger, trickM (now I am behind the opponent while he/she's bouncing off the wall, just as you were at 0:25) and do the rep from there?
Or do L, M, H, S, H, L, M, Stinger, trickM, THEN start the Rep?
Also correct me if I'm wrong, but is the rep - Once TrickM behind airborne oponent -
You can start charging the round trip during the cinematic yes. the timing is tricky on larger characters to get round trip after lunar phase. Make sure to activate swords super as soon as your bubble hit to giveyou enough time to take a step backward before doing the lunar phase. This wil give you the proper spacing and timing for the loop.
question: du you start charging roudntrip at the beginning of the spiral sowrd cinematic? what i mean is, does it charge even when youre still i nthe cinematic ?
Can you help with the timing between the wall bounce, the activation of the swords, and the lunar phase...every time i do the lunar phase, the character pops out too high to be caught by round trip.
@peteranthonylobo You have to wait until the character falls a bit before activating the swords. They should be right around Vergil's eye level when you activate swords after the wall bounce. This will ensure they don't bounce too high on the swords and fall out later.
@peteranthonylobo To keep the loop going once you get to the second rep, you need to actually take a step backwards before doing lunar phase, again to ensure they don't fall out. (Activating swords as quickly as possible after the Judgement Cut L. version, will give you plenty of time to take a step back).
@GermBread Its easiest to just hold L when you activate swords as the game lets you charge for round trip during the hyper animation. What I do is activate swords with qcf L.+M and just keep holding L. Then I input the motion for lunar phase while still holding down L. Its a bit like doing Zero's combos, a little tricky but easy enough with practice.
I looked up this winrich kid. Pretty good for a 13 year old. But he was only doing two lunar phases once he activated spiral swords. No loops or setup into a loop. Similar combo though so I can understand the confusion.
@cIaSSlc I've heard both sides, some say you do others you don't. I do anyway cause it's fun. lol plus I've heard there's more of chance you'll get that last bubble on the way down if you mash. again not sure if it's true.
Just an FYI, from my testing and research Dimension Slash doesn't get more hits from mashing. Not sure if you knew that and mashed anyway or what. Anyway, thanks a lot for the combo , this is exactly the kinda combo I was looking for. I've been wanting a good combo I could use round trip in so thanks a bunch.
@flipevent I'm sorry, but it does not. The super itself is random in damage and amount of hits. Sometimes it's even possible to follow up a Dimension Slash with a diagonal down+forward heavy (that otg slash thing) into another Dimension Slash. That's how random the move is. Maximilian found no mashing pre-release and even the Brady Games guide excludes Dimension Slash from any mention of being mashable. You're mistaking randomness for "it must be mashable".
@dj75728 It is mashable. Take about 1 whole minute of your time and go into training mode. Use the super several times, then use the super once and mash it. Also, using the super on the ground (or rather with the opponent as low to the ground as possible) does the most damage.
@dj75728 Something that a lot of people don't know about mashing, use one button. Mashing A+B+C isn't as effective as just mashing a single button. The game likes to cancel your mash if it reads more than one different button input during it (like if you were to p-link your mashes.) What I do is just mash H as fast as I can. I 9/10 times end up with more damage than if I were to just mash all the buttons on my stick.
You know I never get why anyone goes for Dimension slash when there's a chance for another spiral swords rep. It's always more damage with a little meter gain as well.
Great stuff mate! Thank you! Ive been mainin Vergil. Ive learnt all his ins and outs & some resets, But really haven't gotten into spiral sword stuff (Other than spasing out and just mashing buttons) and have been looking for a nice simple loop that I can understand. THIS IS IT! Thx XD.

Can this be started without the air+S combo?
For example (to make it simple)
If I use low+L, low+M, low+H, Stinger, trickM (now I am behind the opponent while he/she's bouncing off the wall, just as you were at 0:25) and do the rep from there?
Or do L, M, H, S, H, L, M, Stinger, trickM, THEN start the Rep?

Spiral Swords, (hold L), Lunar Phase, Round Trip, Low+L, Judgement Cut L, Lunar Phase (Repeat)?

do you have to hold L or is it possible to just hold M when you do lunar phase?
I've been trying to hold M, but it isn't working for me, is it just me being bad or is it not possible?

@dj75728 Yes it does matter if you mash. o.O
Do a dimension slash naked versus one with mashing -- almost a 200k and 20 hit difference when up close next to the character.
Obviously this would matter less if the character was more into the combo already, but still.
