I personally think vtec is a good thing. I compete in 1.6 sprint class and it is noticeable that any other 1.6 without a vtec type system that produces similar power to a b16 is not a car you'll enjoy driving home in.

I'm curious as to why people have such a problem with vtec!? all it is is a way to allow an engine to use different cam profiles. It works really well. The only downside to vtec engines is that they tend to have short rods and so aren't ultimately as torquey as a comparable engine when off vtec. Most decent car manufacturers have a similar system now. It's all about having as flexible an engine as possible which is no bad thing.

Too bad i've seen honda civic VTEC's with way over 900hp. You just have to have people who know what they are doing.

somethin eather wrong wit that dsm or the driver sux period my 92 would walk that and its stock on a stock 14b now at 15psi blew the 16g :( lol but no way and even if the talon does lose no way it would be by that much vtec sux dosnt do shit but make louder anoying sounds
