The fact that you can facilitate conception in a petri dish, grow that human in a cow uterus, and still have a human should be proof enough that you were you at conception and not implantation. Your gender, race, hair and eye color were all determined at conception not implantation.

It is illogical to verbally change the definition of when a human becomes a human according to stages of structural development. One characteristic that all humans have in common through all stages of life is cell division. From the moment you were conceived you were a living human organism that began dividing your cells. Your humanity is not dependent on geographic location in a woman's body. Nor are you less human for being less developed. Puberty is another stage in human development.

A law must be in accord with the reality of nature or else it is a bad law. Laws in favor of slavery were bad laws because it is impossible for a person's free will to be dependent upon the will of another person. You can't buy the ability to own another person's free will. With regard to abortion, a woman's rights end where another human being begins. It is not her DNA. It is not her body. It is not her so called "choice". Otherwise the we have to reclassify the female person who is pregnant and say that a woman has 4 sets of 23 chromosomes and 2 sets of DNA. It's just not true in reality. At conception there is a new human being on this earth. A sperm is 1 set of 23 chromosomes and an egg is also 1 set. Humans have 2 sets of 23, not 4 sets.

This is an erroneous statement because in fact, the human has begun growing from the moment of conception. By the time the human implants, its cells have already divided many times. You become a blastocyst before you implant in your mother's uterus. It's typically 5 days after conception that you form into a blastocyst, and you still aren't implanted yet.

Right, but aren't most conceptions "naturally aborted" because they don't implant? It's "illogical" to define life by potential to implant. Nature prevents our pregnancy to conception ratio from being 100%, because 10% (or whatever it is) yields a better survival rate for the species, due to women being more valuable than just being constant baby carriers. A birth control technology that prevents implantation, like a "morning after pill" is not an abortion in my book.

The morning after pill doesn't cause a miscarriage, it is an introduction of chemicals to a woman's body that is meant to subvert the natural process of implantation.

You take medicine to promote the body's health. The pill is not intended for the health of the body but to frustrate a healthy process in the body. Popular opinion is that a robust sex life is more important than promoting the natural health of the female body.
