@sonypower159 thats very true, it will. the reason i know this is becuase my dad owns an iphone and i do as well and i was smart and got a rubber case but my dad on the other hand got a hard slide on shell case simaler to the one shown in this video and the back of my dads iphone has scratches all over the place from where he had slid the case on and off. so in my opinion get an easy put on rubber case.

Ive bought like 50 cases and I had to buy replace my iPod once because one of the cases practically Broke the back.. So In the Back where you insert it theres a Line so It wont scratch. I recommend it because My iPod is still Protected even though I drop it like once a week.

I think, the best thing about the 4g has to be higher resolution display and the new case upgrades.

the rubber case you held up up towards the begging it is actually pretty good i think that it is better for it to cover the front more so you get less scratches....the fact that it is rubber doesnt really help protect the itouch/iphone i think that the one you have showed us is a better case

I have a candyshell, rebel, and this. I prefer this most of all because of the docking. The rebel has great protection, but is hell to take on/off. Candyshell is great, but you have to take it off to dock. This, its easy to take off, you only have to slide the bottom off to dock. and that's why I prefer it. Plus, its not silicone, and I hate silicone.

There are 2 types. ..

One for the iPhone, one for the iPod Touch - THEY ARE DIFFERENT.

Like you said, one is thicker, one is thinner. Also, the headphone port and the sleep/wake button are all in different places.

I just bought an Incase Slider the other day at Best Buy ($16.95). I got mine in Metallic Red color. I highly recommend getting this if you can. It's awesome! It is quite snug once you get the ipod in but hard to pull out if you want to take it out. I even put the Apple logo sticker on the back. It gives it a nice appeal once it's on there.

@THEYAYAREALIVING The first time I needed to take it off, it was hard, but I had to hold the other top end, and just pull the bottom slider part as hard as I could and it came off. To get the top part off, I used one of those pencils with eraser heads on it and pushed the top power button while pulling the top at the same time, it moved a few centimeters and I was able to pull it off.

the silcone case is best for if you want to protect it from scratches and you dont want as much weight on your ipod touch or iphone. THe hard shell cases are best if you dont want to drop it and scratches but has a little weight i bought both but my silcone case broke soon after

Glass is about 6-7 on the Moh's scale. Highly unlikely to be scratched it with keys or a sharp blade unless it's forced. Try it on your windows.
