@HereGoneStay Appalachian State is not a division II team. They are division I just like Michigan. Division I is divided into 2 subconferences: Football Bowl Subconference and Football Championship Subconference. The FBS plays all those bowl games in January that everyone watches. The FCS has a national playoff and one national champion. This was an upset because D-I FBS is supposed to be better than D-I FCS teams.

Watch #1 for Michigan, the last guy on the left... he is supposed to block inside-out, or the gap to his right FIRST because he has the shorter distance to the ball.

#1 blocked to his left, the defender came through the gap on his right, untouched, and blocked the kick.

If you watch the blocked kick from just under 2 minutes to go, earlier in the game, #1 throws his shoulder into the guy coming to his right, then lunges at the guy to his left. Neither of those two blocked that kick.

My one question is is why was Michigan ranked #5?? This seems like a pattern for all Big 10 schools........always overrated. If you don't believe me, look at all the pre-season polls for the Big 10. Lets take Ohio State for example. They are always ranked so high (usually #1 or #2) that when they get beat, people call it an upset. I call it just being ranked too high to begin with.
