@bloodered Yes but Near and Mello hate each other. It is far more probable for Matt and Mello to end up together because Matt is with Mello even though Mello left Wammy's at 15 and Near is number one, well seen as number one. If there was nothing between Matt and Mello then Matt wouldn't appear at all. Also Matt os freakin' hot! Don't dis him. :L (Another point- the fanfics with MattxMallo gives a chance to develop Matt's character more fully)

this has 2 b the most beautiful death note tribute i have ever seen. it even tops some of the L & Light tributes i've seen. it's just so sad that they don't get 2 b together after death cuz Mello used the death note, so now he doesn't get 2 go 2 heaven with Matt, he just dies but goes nowhere. I hope that Mello finds a way to see Matt. he doesn't deserve 2 be alone 4 all of eternity. MATT X MELLO 4EVER!!

Actually 666bitchkitten666 I'm pretty sure Mello never actually used the death note (he got others to). Well, not in the manga at least, so maybe Mello does go to heaven.
