By the way, the INTRO is a very important element to the song and the album's whole theme on aging and mental illness. You obviously don't know how to listen to music and appreciate. The whole "Boring intro" as you might put it, creates transcending mood. Richard Wright's soft keyboards along with Gilmore's simple guitar licks. Not to mention the tick - tock sound coming from Roger Water's bass. You are RAPING the song.

And the intro is lots of special effects, ethereal sounds, and 4 bar phrases, which is pretty difficult to teach in a video without equipment. So you need to calm down, and he's not raping the song. I feel as opposed to a lot of people who try to teach this song - his interpretation of the music is spot on.

Is it the tuning so much?

My ear tells me it's the tone gap between the Gibson he's playing and the Fender Strat my ears are used to hear ringing out this classic tune.
