Brev, how its goin if we put it on amp loop?does the compressor still works? how about the compression AFTER drive like that?remind usualy compression BEFORE drive/amp :(
thanks Brev, i'll try to change my mind set about compression and filtering (phaser, auto wah, etc) MUST BEFORE drive into AFTER POSSIBILITY / TC NOVA minded. keep on (rocking) the good works :)
please be honest, i have a marshall jvm and am currently using a boss dd-20 delay, i was thinking about this unit but i dont want to lose any tone from my amps gain by putting it through my amp fx loop, what do you think?
@uomoscozzese Hello. The tone in your Marshall would not be affected by this unit. Rather, it's the loop in the JVM marshalls that might not be up to par. If you want no signal loss, you need a tube buffered loop or a buffer pedal on the end of your pedal chain. Many high end amps such as Bogner which appears in the video already have a tube buffered loop whereas companies that cut corners do not. MI audio makes a great pedal called the Boost and buff. Hope this helps.
@BrevSullivan well i bought a nova system since my last question, i shall give it sometime of tweaking, if it doesnt suck tone i'll be happy with it otherwise ill check out the pedal you recommended, thanks for you help and kindness ;)
@BrevSullivan well since ive had the nova system in my marshalls jvm loop, i feel ive found a happy spot were my tone is barely affected, i set my amps loop to 100% wet at -10db and then the nova input gain between 5-10 depending on how much volume i need i just adjust the nova input, ive found any other setting on the amps loop robs tone and the nova is amazingly low in the mix to the point you cant hear the chorus boost etc. anyway im more than happy with the pedal, its a keeper ;) thanks again
The drive is actually very good, very smooth and analog. It's not super distorted but will get you through a gig if need be provided some compression and boost is used.

@fritzempit This IS in the loop. Sounds great and compressor works. Is also sounds great with a drive pedal in front of the unit. Cheers!

Hi man, what do you think of drive/distortion on the Nova System?
