I hate being only 12 because when I listen to song like this and stuff like the Beatles people give me hell cause I don't listen to riahanna or whatever. I wish I could had been born lived in the 70s.
This is real when music was organic...pure when the meaning and causes were for more than fame and glory have to love how music like this can just consume your soul and you can just break free .
@kurtajie I think god would want more than what u offer for those great musicians lol. Gaga wouldn't even be worth Freddy mercury's shit. Imagine if he came back and played one song live. Imagine what that would be worth.
@weedontheton funny you should say that actually. the term "Losing my religion" means "losing my temper". some think it has a much deeper idea about religion (I wonder why!). However, Michael stipe did not "come out" officially until i believe 2001. I have actually never heard that idea before.
I love this clip. It's like Stipe was lazily hanging out on his screened-in porch, and the other guys just pop over and start playing randomly and he begrudgingly agrees to sing, but is completely bored. Awesome.
sans mandolin so much more meditative - also great to hear it without electric guitars and amplifiers - just listen without being assaulted with sound waves - something personal and more intense about this - as folk music its without all fabricated noise - this is really tangible as an integrated part of daily life
never seen this one all the way thru. very cool clip. honestly, its nice to hear it without the mandolin. i've heard that version so many times that this is really refreshing
