I'll be in Poland myself next week outside of Krakow and Katowice. I've been to Warsaw twice and love it. That city is constantly evolving. New highways being built, buildings being constructed or rennovated, parks being expanded. It's an exciting place to be right now. Can't wait until the Euro 2012!

Unfortunately, at the time we didn't have the luxury of having a local guide. However, the Polish staff at the hostel were very friendly and helpful...very hospitable stay.
Gdansk is a nice city too!
