i just wish they made phoenix right. she isn't supposed to be some black eyed wrinkly demon. if i were on the special effects team i would make her eyes glow bright orange/red when she used her power, she could be surrounded by an orange glow, her hair could turn bright orange like fire and she could be surrounded by swirling flames. just think that would have done more justice to the character.

You, me, cars, airplanes, etc. Tiny molecules too tiny to see with the human eye. Telekinetic ability part: When you're as powerful in telepathy as the Phoenix, you can pretty much do anything. Such as break things down on a molecular level. So she's not really turning things into ash, just ripping them apart cell by cell.

I will never get over the fact that the Phoenix managed to kill off Professor X so easily and that he wasn't properly mourned through out the film even when he's basically the most important character. @123atuck That would be because she's not really evil. The real Jean Grey didn't want the manslaughter the movie ended with. The enormous power within her, that she could not control, made her do it. The only reason Logan managed to kill her is because Jean fought the power within her and let him kill her.
The Phoenix Force is the power of the very universe itself, it was/is not a mutant power. The Phoenix Force picked Jean in the comics and gave her unearthly, limitless power. She literally saved the universe by repairing the M'Kraan Crystal, in essence she saved all of reality as it was known. The problem was this limitless power was controlled by a human, a moral one yes, but a human none the less, as time went by Jean succumbed to the power of it and became Dark Phoenix.

She becomes one with the Phoenix, as opposed to serving as its host. Death itself has said that jean is the rightful owner of those powers. In case you don't know, Death is an abstract entity (the embodiment of the end of life) that appears sporadically throughout the Marvel Universe.

X-men 3 could of been a better movie. With the new director they just concentrated more on the freaking cure. The old director would of focused more on the Phoenix and the movie would of been way more interesting.
I personally don't like they X-men movies, I don't totally hate on them either. The part at the end where Wolverine kills Phoenix was fucking EPIC. The way he gets burn, and you get to see his Adamantium skeleton, that was priceless.

cyclops i do not believe is dead.....this is a basic fact in comic books...you need a body to confirm a death..even then...it's a good chance someone will return...i'd have him transported to another location or something....a small part of jean left saving her lover. (i actually like scott being with emma the white queen)

@123atuck That would be because she's not really evil. The real Jean Grey didn't want the manslaughter the movie ended with. The enormous power within her, that she could not control, made her do it. The only reason Logan managed to kill her is because Jean fought the power within her and let him kill her.

The Phoenix Force is the power of the very universe itself, it was/is not a mutant power. The Phoenix Force picked Jean in the comics and gave her unearthly, limitless power. She literally saved the universe by repairing the M'Kraan Crystal, in essence she saved all of reality as it was known. The problem was this limitless power was controlled by a human, a moral one yes, but a human none the less, as time went by Jean succumbed to the power of it and became Dark Phoenix.

@archmage1982 Not to mention that it also had to do with the fact that the Phoenix Force, assuming Jean's identity and memories also succumbed to a human being's most darkest and deepest inner desires that break away from sympathy and morality. The Hellfire Club's probationary member Jason Wyndgarde/Mastermind with help from Emma Frost manipulated Jean for some time and just brought out those desires she tried to control.

@Hohorik ok....to settle the argument....jean grey was just the vessel containing the phoenix entity.....a primal force of the universe....which only someone as powerful as say..galactus..or the celestials could contain or destroy.....jean in her own right is a powerful mutant.....wanda maximoff aka the scarlet witch was the true celestial madonna......she has the ability to alter reality...she changed the reality of the world making mutants dominant..then eradicated them

@1942PANTHERV On the contrary Jean is not just the vessel. The powers are entirely her own, she doesn't "borrow" them from the Phoenix. She becomes one with the Phoenix, as opposed to serving as its host. Death itself has said that jean is the rightful owner of those powers. In case you don't know, Death is an abstract entity (the embodiment of the end of life) that appears sporadically throughout the Marvel Universe.

@GreenMan09x death is one of the 4 entities....you have forgotten infinity..eternity and void......but jean has often shown she cannot control the powers of the phoenix..and once she relaxes her powers the phoenix takes over..thats why she..or rather the phoenix entity had to be destroyed...remember x-factor 1....jean grey was found in a cocoon in the wreckage of the shuttle at the bottom of the harbor.....the phoenix had replicated her

@Phoonguy she awoke from her confusion and removed the powers from 90% of the worlds mutants......now i'm adding sue storm as a very powerful hero to this mix...her ability to control force fields makes her much more dangerous than ben grim.....how about crfeating a force field inside an opponents lungs suffocating him...or inside thier brain.....how about stopping thier heart altogether

X-men 3 could of been a better movie. With the new director they just concentrated more on the freaking cure. The old director would of focused more on the Phoenix and the movie would of been way more interesting.

I personally don't like they X-men movies, I don't totally hate on them either. The part at the end where Wolverine kills Phoenix was fucking EPIC. The way he gets burn, and you get to see his Adamantium skeleton, that was priceless.

if you bother to watch all the way past the credits you will see that the guy in the coma in the hospital is professor x duh, he's not dead he just put his mind into the coma guy, and you also see magnito use his powers to knock over a chess peace. Translation, there will be another x men movie, it's only a matter of time.
