  • @YourGuitarWorkshop i like how u dont curse :) i dont either

  • well done

  • This is wayyyy to hard for me -_____-

  • funny voice

  • i confused on the strumming....

  • i have the same guitar :D

  • @emmaadouglasss you do! what do you think of it, how does it play in your opinion? I'm curious... it's an apx26D right?

  • @YourGuitarWorkshop yeah i only got mine yesterday, ive been playing guitar for a year, i think its pretty cool, best guitar ive ever had.. what you think off yous?

  • @emmaadouglasss yesterday, and its new?! I bought mine about 15 years ago (give or take a few)... At first i didn't use it much but for the past 4 years very intensively. it sounds ok when amplified but acoustic its lacking in body, sound is a bit too thin. having said that, if you're only playing for a year I think you bought a great guitar!

now I'm looking for something else, maybe a lowden, martin or maton, ... choices *sigh* ;-)

  • @YourGuitarWorkshop i use to have a martin guitar, there good, i use to have a 3/4 guitar but thought it was time to change so the one i got was a 4/4 , how long have you been playing?

  • @emmaadouglasss I've been playing for about 19 years now, started at 16 on a warm summers day... hooked right from the start!

what amp you use by the way (in combination with the guitar)

  • It really helped, and sound better than the capo version, Thanks again :D

  • love your jacket!!<3

  • really really great !!

  • this version is harder than the other versions

  • stfu and play you hoe ass canook

  • 7 people hate canada

  • nice

  • Sorry, this really wasn't helpful

  • @Appleaddict22 too bad, but there are a lot of tutorials for this song on youtube, maybe they suit you better... Good luck!

  • can u learn us also the intro?

  • @silvietta87 you mean the little bit of melody on top of the chords in the beginning? I'll see what i can do, you could also check youtube , I wouldn't be surprised if it's been done before...

  • @YourGuitarWorkshop yes :D thank youuuu :)))

  • hey, is it possible for you to make a paper copy of these chords? i am not that great at memorizing chords and would greatly appreciate it.

    great tutorial! definitely subscribing!

  • @zeldapikachu64 These months I've been so busy but I want to put these tabs on my website (and a lot of others too). I'll try to put everything online as fast as possible but it might still take a while as I have tons of work to do still... sorry for that!

  • @YourGuitarWorkshop Thank You So Much Andre!! I've Been Looking For A tutorial On Youtube But None Of Them Sounded The Same Or Helped Me And This Is The Only Video That Helped Me And Sounded The Same And Cause Of You I Can Finally Play This Awesome Song Thanks Again!!!

  • Very nice tutorial. But could you make a beginner tutorial of this song? And maybe in Dutch?

  • @RovahFX I will start making dutch tutorials as well in the future (hopefully near future) but as I'm heading to the end of the school-year things are quite hectic and I'm struggling to find the time but in time this tutorial will also be in dutch...

  • just show the totrial .. and btw ur video do work !

  • @fehl001303 he puts it in the 2nd

  • @Luminiq1 @YourGuitarWorkshop haha, off course, we hang out all the time Arjen and me ;-).... Actually I think arjen lives in Bayern Munchen, Germany at the moment. I know Holland is small but we're not all neighbours :-) so unfortunately Arjen and I are not acquainted.

  • @fehel001303 in second position i think...

  • where do you put the capo?

sorry i probably missed it in the video...

  • where are you from?

  • @chicharito0914 the Netherlands, a tiny country in europe...

  • @YourGuitarWorkshop i knew it! i heard ur accent on like a couple words:P nice playin nonetheless :)

  • Sir I have a question about the F# chord you played. If we just need to play the open bass note, and the D G B strings. Do I have to put my ring finger on the A string on the 13ft? I think it doesn't make a different, does it? It's hard for me pressing that A sting =\

  • @imhughmak Yeah off course you can, it will still be an F# chord and sound pretty much the same.

I would also try to figure out why it's so hard to play the original chord, maybe a few small changes in hand position and your problem is solved. But it's not a must...

oh and you don't have to call me sir,... makes me feel old and I'm still in denial about that ;-)

  • @YourGuitarWorkshop Thank you for your reply. I'm actually having a regular, traditional "8" shape acoustic guitar instead of the shape like yours. So whenever I play some chords which are closer to the resonator, it somehow "blocks" my hand =\ I am feeling uncomfortable playing those chords far to the right. Is there any suggestions for me? I'll try the original chord as you advised. I prefer that and so I learn from your tutorial instead of the simple way to play this song. Thank you.

  • @imhughmak aaaah, now I see. in that case I would maybe even play the chordshape in 4th pos. (to the capo) with indexf as barre on 1st, 2nd and 3rd string, middlefinger in 5th on second string and ringfinger on 6th of fourth string. you use the bassnote (6th string) and skip 5th string. Play the same groove and you should have the same sound... hope this helps

  • @YourGuitarWorkshop Thank you sir and you're so talented at playing guitar and theory! Looking forward to more tutorials from you :)

  • -.- you did a good job playing it but a horrible job teaching it- you talk too much, otherwize keep it up..., -.-

    and stop talkin so much

  • @yguy2006 looking forward to seeing your tutorials, show us how its done properly dude ;-)

  • I love learing to play the guitar, & you make it look so easy, I just love love loveee the sounddd of music on the guitar!!!;D

  • CANADA!!!!

  • thx u :DDD

  • canada! and thanks for the video :)

  • I wanna know why this has so little views compared to all the other lessons, great job!

  • I am not nearly good enough to play this song yet, but when I am I will be coming here for "tut-age".

    Kudos to you, sir.

  • @mc85eu Thanks! But I believe there are other teachers on youtube who have made a simplified version for easier playing, playing the song with a capo. You could start there maybe. But its a nice song isnt it?!

    I'm sure you'll get there...

  • i like your guitar...what is it?

  • @SouthDakotaLife Its a yamaha APX26D, bought it about 10 years ago i think. It's a nice guitar but this weekend I'm going out to check some others like Lowden, Martin, Taylor, etc... will be hard on my bank account though...

  • @YourGuitarWorkshop you should make some kinda donation fund...people really like your videos and I think they would like helping you out with the money you know.

  • @fortunehead hey thanks for your comment. I think that's a good idea. I saw that Justin Sandercoe does the same thing... I agree with his way of thinking. my website has a donation possibility but I guess I have to make things more clear. I'm anyway only just starting this adventure but its good to think about these things. this summer I'm buying a lot of new software to help improve lessons and video;s....

  • ah great tutorial!! super well done my friend and on top of that you rep CANADA!!! yeah!!!

  • @kiddkidd1234 Thanks!.... And I LOVE Canada!

  • it's a bit hard without seeing how you play that chord but you could try pushing your wrist forward and make sure your ringfinger is straight on the string. if you already do that it could be that your fingertips are a bit bigger, in that case you have to place your fingertip not exactly on the string but a bit above it. hope this helps, its hard to explain without actually showing it and without seeing whats going on..

  • i have problems with the F#, my ring finger touches the string underneath it and mutes it. any suggestions?

  • @laxball535 ya take off your ring...

  • LOL thanks man!

  • this is awesome :D great job and kudos to the hat

  • Thanks bro,... Maybe I'll go out and even buy a special "guitar-tutorial-instructional-video-Hat" ;-)

  • Mark the hat! Nice tutorial dude
