I got a shiny Hippowdon on platinum. And just by coincidence the elite 4 member that uses Hippowdon had a shiny one as well.

@ian27000 it probably wasnt, the colors from the female and male differ a lot, the male, has the yellowy bage skin, and the female has completely dark skin, this means that the shiny forms are completely different as well, check serebii for them, also, its impossible for in game trainers to have shinies anyway.

I've only been playing pokemon for two generations, but in every game (Platinum, Soul Sliver, and White) I've found two shinies. In White, I found a shiny shelmet, or whatever it's called, and a shiny audino. The odds of finding one like that are 1 in 8,200 or something which made me kind of lucky, but despite that, I can never even hatch one shiny egg with the MM! >.<

I found a shiny Mawile there who wanted a natu level 50 and up. Guess what I had? Level 45 Natu. I trained it up 5 levels and then gave the natu to him and got my shiny Mawile!!!!! YAY

I have a question, the names of pokemon in the first versions of Black and White are the translated names of the Japanese names right? Because I have noticed, some times ill watch playthoughs and they will have different names in all caps like in Version I - IV

I see so many stories about people who lose shinies in Pokemon games. In every Gen, I've found at least 1-2 shinies in my own game, and not ONCE have I lost one..except, I wish I could feel the pain of those who do lose them. '_'

the r4 does support pokemon black and white but you have to download wood rpg latest version - have the patched rom to work on it and then delete EVERYTHING on your r4 and format the r4 for it to work then you need another program to convert your old save files to ones that is supported with the new software so it may not be worth it
