@EndTimeDelusion1 The idea about a rebuilt temple comes from a faulty system of interpreting Jesus' prophecy of his judgment upon Israel. God abandoned Israel as his chosen people by destryong their temple. Israel became a wicked nation, killed the prophets and crucified Jesus and they deserve to be punished. The old sacrificial system ended forever and Christ came to introduce the new covenant. A rebuilding of the temple would be contrary to this message of Scripture.

'Of course' study of Revelation in the same way as any other obscure ancient text must be false and 'inspiration' to fit predetermined beliefs 'true'. If Jerusalem may be called 'Sodom' and 'Egypt' and 'Babylon' might 'Damascus' mean something? That would explain how Saul comes to be going to 'arrest' Christians in a different Roman province where the Temple had no more authority than the Archdruid and would certainly have faced Roman prosecution had he dared.

If you see the events in Revelation happening in the future, then you are interpreting the book differently, not as God's judgment upon Israel and this is not what Revelation is all about.

What is presented here is classic Preterism. This is the false counter-interpretation to the equally false system of Futurism. Preterism=most of Revelation was fulfilled by the end of the 1st century A.D.(Some extend it to 4th c.)

Futurism=most of Revelation happens after a 'pre-tribulation' rapture of the Church. Both systems are fallacious, and were invented to counter-reform the great Protestant Reformers of the 16th century. Please, brethren, learn your history.

Calvin wrote a commentary on Daniel. It is preterist and does not contain any interpretation relating to the Muslims, the pope or the Church of Rome.

Question: How can one's interpretation of Daniel be preterist, but one's interpretation of Revelation historicist? Is that consistent?

@jcr4runner Daniel's prophecy refers to God's judgment of Israel as a sinful nation. It is a past event and has nothing to do with Muslims or the Roman Catholic Church as these religions did not exist back then. Both Daniel and Revelation are dealing with God's judgment on Israel and the taking of his kingdom to the four coners of the earth.

The city where "our Lord was crucified" is also called Sodom and Egypt in Revelation 11:8.

"And their dead bodies lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified."

The Harlot is apostate Israel. The city is Jerusalem.

The "woman" that appears later is the Church and the city of God is heavenly Jerusalem.

In Daniel2,4, and 7; we read about the same beast, which is described in different beasts. In the statue, with a gold head, the legs and feet are Rome. And Daniel says this beast will rule until the end of time. So Rome rules, behind the scenes, through Secret Societies, their Central Banking system, and the Black Nobility. So the Woman who rides the Beast is the Vatican, the mother of prostitutes. This speaker Ken is as lost as they come. This must be what they teach at Jesuit Schools.

Dan 7;27, says the saints will be given the worldly kingdom that is taken away from the little horn power of Rome. That hasn't happened yet. In fact, this is what brought about the 70-week prophecy to begin with. The Jews neglected 70 sabbatical years (490 years total) and were punished with the destruction of the temple and city, resulting in the 70-year Babylonian Captivity; one year for every sabbatical neglected.

They were given 490 years to make up reconcile this sin. They failed, and the 490 ended with the stoning of Stephen in 34 AD.
