  • I was recently diagnosed with Aspberger's

  • for those of you who dont believe this is real it is. my son who is 13 now has aspergers, he is a great kid,has a verbal IQ of 140 he is smarter than me, his problem is in social situations and empathy. our friends had a dog he loved very much and the dog got cancer and we went to say our goodbyes, when the dog died while we were there, everyone cried xcept him. he asked well you will get another one right? he cannot process emotions like we do, he is socially isolated, good he cant, hurts less

  • I disagree about the empathy problem. I have the same disorder, yet I can feel exactly what others feel. Like, I might be eating lunch when I feel I might faint, and right behind me somebody's having an asthma attack. Given these hell like experiences, I think i just have too much empathy. That's why I like solitude, cause it let's me know what I feel, not what some random person feels. Others might feel differently, but this is my life so let me keep my personal facts.

  • not a real disease

  • @Wilsondano1 that is true, its "a different way of thinking" the problems that it causes are mainly in human interaction and social life which often causes isolation.

  • assburgers

  • @ProJanitor

Yeah... I fucking hate having this shit but I thought the same thing when I was told of the name. I laughed my ass off.

  • @HDaviator i don't have a clear understanding on wtf it is exactly.

  • @ProJanitor

I heard someone call it Social Dyslexia. Which I guess makes a bit of sense. Its basically an inability to know how to "deal" with people. A normal person like yourself can, for example, talk to anyone without any problem on how to react with that other person. The thing is, its autism, so its an actual problem within the brain. I never knew I was different until I was diagnosed. Until then, you think everyone is the same as you. There is more to it than that though.

  • @HDaviator thank you for explaining.

  • @fcdog555 yea I guess i was a bit of a bitch, sorry bout that, but its the internet, its so easy to be haha.

  • @punkrastagirl96 haha yeah agreed.

Btw I do assure you that people do have AS. There is a great many symptoms such as stemming, sensory overload, for example my AS friend cannot be touched on his back or he will cry, etc.

  • @fcdog555 I know a guy with AS, and he dosent seem any different than all the other socially awkward people I know. What is the difference between someone who doesn't know how to act in public and someone with AS (legit question)

  • @punkrastagirl96 Well AS is a part of the Autistic spectrum meaning some people who have AS may only have light symptoms, as in being socially awkward. Others have it more extreme. Now to tell the difference between a socially awkward person and an AS person, an AS person will have symptoms you prolly can't notice as in walk toe heel, not heel toe, stimming, uncontrolled voice volume, formal speech, etc.

I'm pretty sure their brains are formed different too and a neurologist can tell. But idk

  • @fcdog555 honestly why are you such a dickhead?

  • @punkrastagirl96 You do realize I don't have AS right?

  • @fcdog555 of course you don't nobody does.

  • Respond to this video... Obviously every single "aspie" on here thinks that they are way smarter and better than every other person on earth. Your telling me I have a tiny brain you obviously think the same way too. "Asperger's syndrome" is NOT autism. "apies" are simply socially akward people who want an excuse for acting weird and embarrassing themselves so people will feel sorry for them. To say "aspies" are autistic is insulting to people who really suffer from autism.

  • @punkrastagirl96 Oh yes, asperger people are high functioning autists. They have low empathy, low social skills, pedant speech, are withdraw but are very good at math, music or science and opposed to the classical autist they have a huge vocabulary. Most of them can't understand jokes!

  • I don't know a single Autistic person who enjoy their condition, brags about it, or feels better or smarter. I think maybe your ignorance coupled with your very obvious insecurities make you look stupid. People who discuss Autism/Asperger's, are simply either trying to educate other people a/b the condition to help someone, or are trying to explain, the only way they can, what life is for them. They list their embarrassing & negative traits, AS WELL as their good traits. You need to read more.

  • Actually, no, I do NOT! However, my son's IQ level is extremely HIGH! THAT is why I think that. I have 4 children, and all of them are unique and special. But these Asperger's (correct spelling) children & adults ARE fascinating. How many do YOU PERSONALLY know & interact with? I don't know a single "aspie" that acts like they are better or smarter. They do NOT brag. If anything, they feel socially outcast, and are very standoffish and shy. They do NOT cash in on their condition. IGNORANT!

  • @fcdog555 its a figure of speech, you are obviously incompetent if you didn't know that.

  • @punkrastagirl96 Okay what ever you say you conspiratorial dumb ass.

  • Comment removed

  • @punkrastagirl96 You are an idiot!!! My 5 year old son has ASPERGER'S which is a HIGH FUNCTIONING form of Austim. You are one of a large group of uneducated dumbasses who think that just because we have the right to freedom of speech you can talk about things you are uneducated, ignorant and closeminded about. You need to shut up and try to get some education in your life. This is a difficult yet amazing condition! Parents of children with Austism have a much harder job than regular parents!!

  • @ashl3igh83 "aspies" are idiots for not realizing that even if someone does not have asburgers they can still be very smart and intuitive. I find it very offensive when people think they are better and smarter than everyone else just because some doctor tagged them as an "aspie". You probably think your son is way better and more special than all the other kids just because he is an "aspie"

  • @fcdog555 That's funny because "aspies" believe everything that the doctors and pharmaceutical companies who want to capitalize on socially awkward people tell them. "Aspergers syndrome" is nothing more than a name for socially awkward people who want to feel special. Does having this "syndrome" give people the right to go around telling people how much smarter and better they are than everyone else?

  • @punkrastagirl96 Uhh, first off, it's hard for us to make friends yes, but not impossible, I have friends all over the country let alone live with 3, thanks, also, I'm not the coolest person on earth. And odds are against you in naming those people you "think" are normal, many people throughout history are believed to have had AS, just during their time the condition wasn't known. Say for instance, Albert Einstein, Henry Ford, Isaac Newton and Abraham Lincoln to name only a few.

  • @ThePhox1982 why is it that you think you have the right to go around belittling other people because they don't have "aspergers syndrome". Does it make you feel better about yourself to tell others that you are so much smarter than them? Honestly, you need to get over yourself and realize that you aren't a gift to the world.

  • @punkrastagirl96 Actually first off, I have AS and I know there is no God, this is because I am smarter than your self (religion has been shown to be linked directly to low IQ), my IQ is 137. I also am sure that you are primitive and we with AS are a product of evolution while you are a by-product. Remember, it's people like us who bring you good things like the light bulb, the automated vehicle assembly line and the Windows Operating System! Yes, Bill Gates has AS.

  • Why the hell is all who says they have Aspergers on Youtube a complete retard.. I have Aspergers, and im a complete normal person..

  • @Falch1000 There is ALLOT of miss-diagnosing and allot of greedy doctors who only partially get it right because no matter if they get it right or not, it's usually a dianosed during early school years and paid for by the state, so guaranteed pay either way. Allot of people claimed to have AS actually have classic Autism and not AS, this is a known on going problem.

  • I have aspergers,, and what I've learned from life, is that nothing comes free.. I could tell my teachers I got bullyed, but no fuck, it didn't help at all! I just had to work hard, to make people like me.. Now im not getting bullyed anymore, and I have a great life,, but people with Apsergers, don't consider your self different than others! Consider youre self special in your own way! You people have a power that most don't! I know , because I have that power as well! :)

  • whoa, whoa, whoa. Asperger's Syndrome is a high functioning form of Autism, and NLD or Non-Verbal Learning Disability is on the spectrum, but it is no where near as severe as Asperger's. This is obviously old information.

  • @aspieworld451 You are correct, NLD is not the same as AS and carries a different medical definition, the poster has this information incorrect. NLD is also not a form of autism, autism is also is not a learning disability, it's a neurological disability. AS is of Autism Spectrum, NLD is a class of it's own covering other disabilities which affect learning and can be over come, thus why it's called a "learning disability". With AS you learn to deal with it, it doesn't go away.

  • Forever alone

  • Srry for long comments; im getting to ambitious.Last on the speech, if all the autistic people in the world could all meet face to face, we could mend that window, connect the pieces, and be one with the world again.Wish I had a webcam, I have a lot to say. With the simple action of the spirit, serenity can be ours. ~Voice out

  • And, thats my life, if there were more words to describe, it'd be clear. All I can say is pure confusion, depression, and melancholy mixed into shadow, and the blinded tirade of the so called "neurotypicals" that can't understand. In the autistic mind, the growth is inevitable, and it is enigma. My dream is to show the world the truth so I can take the blindfold and take it from society. All my life I somehow knew, my fate was to be The Voice, for all of you suffering autistics silent without hope.

  • To Shadowbonez, SHUT UP. I am a real autistic savant.I am tired of hearing your mouth blab off saying we are whining.Listen ask your self this. Do you feel like your life is a broken window, you try to mend it, but it never fixes? Or that you're an outcast, left to live in shadow? Or that every living moment is another tongue of fire from hell to burn you?And there's no control, even if you are a savant, truly retarded or just mapped differently?Do you? That is autism. Connect the pieces.

  • @punkrastagirl96 It's not a made-up syndrome, we are socially awkward because our development isn't as fast as it is with everyone else. And if you want to talk about us being smart, look at Albert Einstein and Nicola Tesla. Both were aspies and are both well-known geniuses. Last time I checked my IQ, I ranked up pretty good too. We're not smart for most things, but when it comes to the things we are interested in, we really are geniuses. The problem is the social requirement for work.

  • @Shadowbonez haha wow ur sooo smart ur wayy too cool for me god I just wish I was socially retarded so I could be an idiot savant just like you!

  • Hes not suffering from any syndrome hes just ugly and awkward .

  • His problem is that he is ugly and awkward. Nobody wants to be around him, so he gets no social experience.... the end result is a person who can't interact with people. It is not a "syndrome" or anything special.

  • @gpalmer12345 your a twat.

  • @redmirror78 god I hate when people who are told through there entire lives that they are "different" or "special" believe it and think that they are so much better than the rest of us. Truth is, we are all different, and if going around telling people you are smarter than them because you've been told you are through your entire life makes you feel good about yourself, than go right ahead.

  • I like playing video games and that apparently is one of the symptoms but i have no other symptoms so do i have assburgers?

  • I really agree no one is normal, and this guy deserves just as much respect as anyone, good for him

  • @kaseysmithful Thanks! lol.

  • @kaseysmithful

    ALL RIGHT THEN

  • @kaseysmithful

NO YOU BE MORE NORMAL LIKE ME

  • @redmirror78 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 degrees!!!!!

  • I want your hair!

  • @danielkirk1 you mad bro?

  • @xGunnerxRecallx Is that an indicator that your 2 brain cells are getting tired? "you mad bro" is a horrible cliche phrase that is really overused at times like these. My question is : Are you mad? Like psycho mad, because you must be to have more than 1 youtube account, taking jives out of disadvantaged people.

Send me a personal message if you need help with your mental issues. Good luck loopy.

  • @danielkirk1 you sound like you mad bro. it's ok, you can cry on my shoulder. let it all out.

  • @danielkirk1 you're one maaaad retard. i never said you're weird. and if someone's opinion is that people with autism is weird, well that's their opinion. i wouldn't get pissed off because i'm not a retard like you you gets butthurt over what other people think - people whom you'll never even meet, never even see nor come in contact with. who gets mad at people over the internet? oh yeah, autistic people like you. cry more, friend. it's not my fault you're retarded.

  • @danielkirk1 You're just making yourself look stupid. Not doing much to convince others about autistic people. You completely counteract how "brilliant" you people claim to be.

  • @DJSpills24 Oh hi there gunnerxrecallx! And itsleandra! how many accounts are there that you have?

See how you ignored everything i typed? Thats brilliant :)

  • @danielkirk1 what does her being female have to do with anything? clearly, you think defending anyone of the opposite sex means you're trying to have sex with them. an extreme misconception in this case, and one that makes you look even less "brilliant." and why are you so mad? are all you people this stupid? you mad bro?

  • Comment removed

  • @redmirror78 One thing I think we must maintain however is a sense of humility in our abilities, otherwise we're no better than we claim Neurotypicals are.

  • thank you for this video, it really helps us aspies out there stay positive!

  • @redmirror78 "i'm autistic so i'm more brilliant than you." retard.

  • @ItsLeandra That guy was replying to someone else calling people with aspergers "weird". If someone goes around calling disadvantaged people "weird" then yes they are more brilliant then him. Dickface.

  • @danielkirk1 you just seem like another pissed off retard. that still has nothing to do with how "brilliant" anyone is. it just means they have a better understanding for it. also, you shouldn't just call her a "dickface," just goes to show how un-brillian you people are.

  • @MrFloydc2 It's not that bad, geez.

  • i wish i had the courage this guy has. i was diagnosed 8 years ago and for 8 years i've had to live with it and keep this revelation to myself. society is full of close-minded, tunnel-visioned twats who would rather look down upon myself and my fellow aspergers sufferers. life's been sketchy for me, when everyday your harrowed by mockery for being a 'simple' person...thoughts of never finding true friends, never even finding a girlfriend because aspergers takes away your ability to do just that.

  • wtf, who clicked the dislike button on this video?

  • you're awesome for putting this up here to help others understand...well done.

  • @redmirror78 Lol right on

  • Smart people do not agree to the kind of reality in which they allow the medical cartel to put a label of AS or any other BS on them just because the OLD, which has to go, is resisting the NEW and the natural evolution of humanity.

Some people just like having a syndrome because they are weak.

Besides, how many people do you know that would say: "I'm just like everybody else." As far as I know 99% of people I meet think they are unique.

I choose to think for myself. Be above this BS.

  • Um... NLD and Asperger's Syndrome are two different things. Just sayin'.

  • @redmirror78 Some people are just different than others.I don't think it means anything. Some people are just different. I don't think half the people with aspergers actually have it. He names abilities to program video games, look kid I was programming video games when I was 7 in QBASIC it isn't that impressive. This just leads to anti social behavior because kids around you are not on your "level." To think it is aspergers is ridiculous, its just anti social behaviors from seclusion.

  • @fuckcomments Actually, brain scans show that the brains of those with Aspergers are different. You should do a little more research on the topic before commenting, as it's clear you know very little about autism.

  • @fuckcomments I love how you non-professional, neurotypical armchair psychs are so quick to dismiss ASD. Why? Do you want to belittle us and not feel guilty about it? To reduce your cognitive dissonance resulting from making fun of us by convincing yourself we're "faking it"? Or are you just mad that we don't fit in the narrow, tiny box you call your worldview?

  • @QueenieZ No I score high as an "aspie" on all the "tests." I am not an aspie though. Many people who test as aspies and who think they are, are just normal people with uncommon interests. Nothing different about them they are just behaviorally different, that isn't a disease.

  • @fuckcomments Watch the video of his mother. The reason he is functioning this well is because she has been so pro-active and worked with him so closely LONG before he would have known what to do with himself! Programming video games is what HE knows about it, but there's a LOT more going on behind the scenes!

  • we austism and dyslexia hand wash our dish no need for casade

  • @chdbox366 It is quicker, yet I am lazy xD

  • @SonidaMarks same here.

  • I wanna shake this dudes hand and give him a pat on the back. I know what its like living with Aspergers and I do have memory issues. this time tomorrow if someone comments back I wont even remember what I said. Except now since I mentioned it i probably will haha.

  • THEN HE IS AUTISTIC NOT AN ASPIE

  • @ericcecelia 310 North 4th Street, Albion IL, 62806

  • @ericcecelia I almost killed my dad

  • Comment removed

  • @ericcecelia people aren't like domesticated pets, unlike genetically modified pets, humans become true adults, in the same way that lions, tigers and gorillas do.

    :)

so please keep abusing your kid, please do, I want you to.

I want to see you put in the hospital.

  • @ericcecelia I highly doubt that this comment is true. What kind of parent would call their son a "little retard"

  • Hi there, I am a sufferer of autisim/ asperger syndrome too. Please check out my video and see what you think of what I am saying. I emphasise with not having great memories, but at least we can learn to cope I guess and have better ones. Thanks

  • I admire pepole like this guy who are not afriad to show them selfs how they really are. I hoep I could be that brave. From one AS suffer thank you and keep being brave.

  • @yitzchak13 O,O lol I sooooo laughed at that........o.o dude I dont think I would like to be called an aspie because that is how it sounds O.o

  • heres a tip for aspergers. pay attention to plot instead of details. For example, if you're friends girlfriend got a new motercycle, you don't go an ask what kind is it and what color is it. You instead say cool wow thats so cool. Because its a moterycle and general knowledge calls for this. tht motercycles are cool just having one I have it myself

  • @classic80svideos

Dude...what? "plot instead of details"? Any normal person will ask you about the details if you get a chopper (or a car or a cellphone or whatever), it's just what people do. Asking about the colour or the make isn't exactly the same thing as asking about some deeply specific technical quality of the vehicle. If a normal conversation to you consists of phrases such as "cool wow that's so cool" you shouldn't be giving out advice to people on how to interact with others.

  • What is your world like the one that you have in your head? this is to all with AS. Its hard one I tell people about the little world I live in. they think its weird. O.O

  • @redmirror78 amen brother. Einstein, Issac Newton, and Bill ates all have aspergers. We change the world.

  • He needs to do bad boy stuff. Like slashing tires. That will help him out.

  • Thank you Sam for being so strong to share this with us.

  • I'm just gonna ask this... as someone with Asperger's, I really, really, REALLY hate the term "Aspie's" as a way to describe myself. Anyone else feel that way. It's like the squeaky-clean, politically correct bs we hear everywhere else that I can't understand. I feel like that term is saying I should be uncomfortable with my condition (which I'm not, I'm open and successful with it), and I should hide it behind some hip, politically correct, shortened nickname. Anyone else feel this way?

  • @MaximumMadnessStixon I have Asperger's, but to me it's not a big deal, it's a cutesy-wutesy name, yeah, but the world hasn't dropped on its head because of it. I don't think people with AS get taken 'less seriously' due to it, but that's just my opinion

  • @MaximumMadnessStixon I have Asperger's myself, but I don't feel anyway like that. In fact, and dare I say it, I like being an Aspie. If you're not uncomfortable with having AS, then there's no reason to take the term "Aspie" as somewhat an insult. Try to see it the other way around instead. Don't you have other people that are named after their condition, like "Narcoleptic", "Hiperactive", or even "Autist"? I can't really see any of those terms as deteriorating as you might think...

  • @Saur89PT aspie....... hummmm yeah i dont mind it.

  • @MaximumMadnessStixon I too hate it. Here in Finland people say "assi". It sounds odd.

  • @drinndrann it does >,< iam have AS and I dont think I would like it but I do love Finland @,@

  • @MaximumMadnessStixon i do, it is almost derogatory in my mind

  • @MaximumMadnessStixon i do, it is almost derogatory in my mind

  • This guy has a mild speech impediment which I think is a byproduct of Asperger's anxiety.

  • @redmirror78 i have it and thats what i think of my self a weirdo who is cut off from the world

  • and i remember really random stuff! but i wish people didnt have to put living with aspergers syndrome on theyre title coz it makes it seems like its agony. i have aspergers and its only being a little different ya know?

  • You clearly don't know very much about the diagnostic testing. Asperger's isn't exactly a label "symptoms." It's far less derivative than that, and I don't fully understand it either. That's why we aren't qualified to diagnose people. If I weren't so close to the issue, I'd probably take the same stance you have. But there just has to be a way to succinctly describe atypical characteristics when possible.

  • He has problems speaking properly, that's not related to aspergers.

  • I was kept in special ed for 12 years under the assumption of aspergers what the differance between you and I livestrong is I got a terrafying mastery of fluency of spoken english and my simplistic mathmatic/mechanical skills. But understanding faces, terms, memory, and anxesity are my biggest issues. From what I heard in this video you got a slight drawl in you speach but you can focus better on a camera then I can.

  • Aspergers is a myth, you're just stupid, sorry.

  • @MasterWeeds If you have ANY experience that would somehow prove that Aspergers is a myth, please explain it. I know that you're wrong. My big sister has Aspergers. It's pathetic that you'd consider yourself qualified to judge its existence.

  • @pinkadotful That is a problem I face in day to day life with Tourettes as well. I look better sometimes than at others so "skeptics" often think that equals fake when watching my videos. However when I go out I get confronted for using handicapped spots, often by people who think they are standing up for the handicapped. I can't predict how bad my tics will be when I shop! If I erupt I may need to get to my car fast, because tics become dangerous!

  • @JonahTorn That's harsh. I guess that the term "handicapped" is sometimes viewed as the term "invalid." At least they're well meaning, but I wish that there was some way to help educate people about differences more fully... at my high school, everyone talks about diversity, but there isn't much effort put into educating people about disabilities (I hate that word but I can't find a better one).

  • Aspergers is not the same as NLD, please don't confuse the 2, the titles are not interchangeable, aspergers is primarily concerned with inabilities to relate socially with some developmental issues, which can vary. This person talks about not being able to remember things, this is not an aspergers trait at all, many aspies have memories like tape recorders that can be replayed in their minds and many aspies are tremendously intelligent. One would think livestrong would know this difference.

  • Oh my god! I am exactly like this kid and I have Asperger's Syndrome. I am only interested in computers and technology. My dad always complains "You need more interests!" and I have like 3 or 4 friends that I have met in person. I don't really care about my poor social skills, but I get 90% or higher in every class. I also have good technical writing skills but ideas get stuck in my brain and I can't get them out, despite the fact that I know how afterlife is 100% real and that god is real.

  • @int3ll3r0n Hey! I'm obsessed with computers and technology as well! And I have Asperger's syndrome! We could be buddies! Asperger Buddies! :D

  • Well, sure, video games aren't ONLY for children... but they are targeted for them. Banjo Kazooie? Or Mario Kart? I've played them... but they do have child-like tones. Now things like Gears of War that's for high schoolers. You wont see many PhD student running home to play Halo Reach or something. If they do, it's for playing with friends. Books have a lot more going for them. I've given up Video Games. They are mindless indulgences. MA2 has a story but... against classics it doesn't hold.

  • He appears to be very foutunate in his Mom.

  • It amazes me how most people don't know about this disorder. Many people ask my co-workers about me like what is that guy's deal or what is his problem just because I don't seem to want to talk to the customers or women. Well sorry I'm not a social butterfly! I only wish I could have the pleasures normal people do!

  • i have aspergers and have a few friends who have it and we have great memories and good motor skills you just have NLD not Aspergers.

  • @LycanthropicAsshole why? sounds like someones jealous ololololo

  • @LycanthropicAsshole you r heartless

  • Yes thks I wish you all the best x

  • awnser this does having aspergers syndrome make you not be able to become good at something you want to or can you still become good like a NORMAL not weird person :(

  • @THEFALLEN093 In my country(Norway) we have a couple of famous people who are aspies, and they are very smart. Their behaviours are a bit uncommon at times, but they have had very successful carreers.

  • @THEFALLEN093 That statement is incredibly hurtful and offensive.

  • ass-burgers! XD bwah

  • @brooklynty87 i find that offencive would you remove the comment please?

  • @brooklynty87 There's no such thing as "ass-burgers." If that was intended as a joke, then you have a sick sense of humor. No intelligent person would post the comment you did.

  • I have asperges syndrome, if anyone wants a question answered, could always ask me >.>

  • @MaximTheBeast does eye contact with strangers give you almost physical pain

  • @hueftbacon

it takes some times to get used to, at least it does for me, if it's the opposite sex then yes I belive it will never dissapear... But it can be practised!

  • It seems most Aspergers syndrome is actually acute environmental poisoning . With all the chemical toxins in fragrances , vaccines , fish , municipal water supplies , etc. , it's a wonder anyone can function . I have seen people recover by going on a diet of ZERO refined sugars, grains and dairy . Apparently this allows the body to detox heavy metals . I hope that more people become aware of this and seek out guidance .

  • @thesepipesRclean

It's actually genetic. My mother has it (and a cantankerous temper :D), and she grew up in rural 1940's Texas, where there weren't any toxins to be found. I have it to a similar degree and grew up in the city.

  • I am 15 and I have aspergers syndrome and really nobody understands me. When i cant do something and i start, you know, getting frustrated they just tell me to get over it or they yell at me and it makes my head and heart hurt. anybody help?

  • @LightGrepher

You are still a teenager. You will be less frustrated by aspergers when you are older.

  • @LightGrepher Keep a diary or find some other relaxing outlet, email other people with AS and remember that you're not alone.

  • I have AS but my school just treats me like I'm stupid.

  • @ZeldaWolf55 ditto

  • i am 24 years old just found out i have aspergers with ADHD too also few other thing but i know how this person feels in some ways i cause i been different all my life not able to fully understand what people want from me at times

  • I like this guy.

  • I have Asperger's ... I have the SAME symptoms (bad memory--remembering random facts) and I had no friends in school. The kids in 6th Grade started to mature and get interested in boys but I was still pretending I was a unicorn! I am STILL mentally and emotionally about 14 years old and I get along with our daughter's friends better than my own age (almost 40) now! I also self-injured for the longest time, thoughI stopped now. It made me feel better. I wish I had been diagnosed earlier.

    ~LG~

  • @DannyPhantom3599 I know how you feel.

  • i have asperger's and you know what im proud to have it because people who have it are very organized, friendly, intelligent, cleanly, and caring. if you think im bragging i heard this from doctors and teachers. the only sad part is that most kids with it including me are usually picked on and are an out cast among other kids.

  • @pffan1000 Yeah. I've been told by many that it could be some evolutionary superiority from everyone else, but yeah we tend to get bullied.

  • @pffan1000 YES! Exactly! I love being organized, but sometimes it drives my hubby and 5 kids crazy because it is almost to the point of OCD...everything has to be perfectly organized or I can't stand it. I have a talent for numbers too. Does anyone else have this? I can remember phone numbers pretty good or numbers from an account most of the time, if I see it a few times. I am okay in basic math and I love to pay the bills (well...not LITERALLY) bc it is so methodical and tedious.

  • @sleepymaia asperger's can be a curse for those who have it.

  • @Anthaurose It can be for those who look at it that way. On the other hand, the "curse" can be considered a "gift"...if you catch my drift.

  • Does the lack of memory is part of AS? My brother was diagnosed like a year ago and he has photografic memory!!

  • @reginna27 I was auto-diagnosed with AS and I have a really good memory with facts and numbers, piano and guitar scales, musical memory, dates and that kind of things, I have photographic memory! But I'm very forgetful with things like feeding my dog, closing the windows or making things I was told to do. I left my parents out of the house about an hour, I was in my world. That is something very common, we're inattentive.

  • NLD and Asperger's Syndrome are not the same thing. I have asperger's and everyone with it is different.

  • This is terrible. If you have this, you can't get laid cuz even if you look completely normal, you're socially crippled.

  • @PrimericanIdol can too, thats a terrible assumption. My husband has asperges and he gets laid regularly:)
