You can do that or I found that you can clean it off with 409 and dry with paper towel. Then for the shine, apply some pledge and clean that off with paper towel.

Usually it is easy it just takes a while. Also it depends on if you are hiding the wires.

It isn't a Soprano by the way, it is a Tsunami Dream and I did not buy the case. My dad bought it for his build some 1-2 years ago and I found it and decided to install it.
