No matter the form (painting, music, poetry, etc.), Leonard Cohen is the only ARTIST i can whole-heartedly say that I love. His work is THAT profound to me.

I remember watching this in Canadian Literature class in high school. Then I denounced it as posing, pre-fabricated, exclusively overly educated posturing... Now in my forties, I am astounded as to how astute a teenager I was. What utter, fucking pretentious crap this film is. At the time it pandered to a pretentious, post-hippie, middle class civil servants. It was old and tired before it was edited. Bury it. It doesn't preserve our Canadian literature it mocks it.

I am not sure what your problem is with this film. Tha man has so much charm he could read me a horoscope and I'd feel better for knowing it.

You perhaps need to have less opinions concerning yourself and accept that other people, no matter how poorly they are filmed, are more interesting than you'll ever be.

And that's not a bad thing.
