Not bad. Why is the Anakin so short for though? Is it because the stock FX blades are shorter than the Ultra blades? I missed the chance to get a Luke ANH saber so I'm hoping I can get the ROTJ saber because they got it back in stock again. I don't want to mess around with my collectibe sabers and convert them ya know.

Personally myself, I wouldn't want to sacrifice power up and down just to have a brighter blade. When at any point in time in any of the movies, did any of the jedi, light or dark, lightsabers just appear? Never!! They always telescoped out from the hilt, sometimes in very close situations it would slide out faster because deploy speed can be adjusted on the hilt by the Jedi. But it never just appears fully extended. Don't believe me, go watch all six movies ands you'll see. Now if luxeon has a

First off, kudos on the vid... :]

I noticed the light tends to fade a little toward the middle of the blade on the Luxeon saber...how noticeable is it in real life? plus do you know if there are any differnces in brightness between different colored blades?

@FordFalcon4lyf It's still polycarbonate, as with normal blades, though it's thicker walled for duelling use. The metallic look comes from a film thats inside the tube which diffuses the light from the LED, making the light distribution even through-out the blade. The blade tip is mirrored on the inside so the light bounces back down the tube. Sounds impressive a technical, but it's pretty much a standard 1ins blade you can get from any saber makers.

That sucks, U cant order ready lightsabers. I think Ultra Saber sell ready ones and you can just pick the colour. Whats the best blade model that can be used for duals, Im dont mean the heavy blade 1 because I hear that there hard to use and carry and if I hit my friend Id probably put him in hospital needing surgery to his face like Mr. MJ , lol Thanks anyway May The Darkside Be With You (because we have better health benefits >:)

Do you know any good sites that sell brand new Darth maul lightsabers that are capable of stunt dualing. Ultrasabers only sell to the Us. Im from Uk Glasgow. I dont want to convert mine just get 1 thats tough and has sound features like my old 1. Also you know if you can get yellow and orange blades.

@eid444 You can try JQ Lightsabers, a company here in the UK (wales) that do some incredible sabers. They can do pretty much anything with a saber. But they're a bugger to get in contact with. They only deal with orders/questions through email, ive sent them plenty with no replies :o(

Still, you might have better luck

To be honest though, most places will convert FX sabers, but not sell new, pre-converted FX sabers.

Yeah ultrasabers are badass lightsabers. I have a original Fx Darth maul (single blade, not complete double) and its like a bloody vase. I hit it on some leafs and I have three small cracks/chips. so If I had a stunt dual with my friend it would probably split in half. But ultrasabers dont have all the lightsabers I want, they dont have mace windus or count dookus and they dont all have sounds for the lightsabers. And they dont have yellow custom lightsabers with sound.

@eid444 Yeah I know what you mean. Considering they're one of the best known 'sabersmiths' they're quite limited. They made their name as one of the very first to convert FX sabers, and to build them aswell. NOW they have dropped behind big time against other saber companies and are seen now as being average. Besides which, their coverted FX sabers with sound are unbelievably expensive!

I've just bought a custom saber from Saberforge (video on my page) which is quite cool.

crystal focus is a soundboard with a luxeon driver built in mate... but in this video you cant really tell the difference because its to dark in the light however the luxeon shines much brighter over the normal MR saber crystal focus has nothing to do with this its a sound board not a light

Its a part of my collection and I wouldnt sell it for any less than I paid for it anyway. So you're best off just buying a new one :o)

@TheDarkMasterMalak Yes I have as it goes. On my page is a video I uploaded of an A'sharad Hett lightsaber I bought from him. Unfortunately I don't have it anymore :(

He has a bit of a bad rep among saber forums, but I found him polite, helpful, gave me the mods I asked for. He just makes good, mid-range sabers. I mean, he's no 'Vaders Vault'. They make High-end sabers with all trinkets and gadgets you could want. Saberforge just make good, solid sabers. I paid about $230 for mine.

Yes, they do the same saber as my one for £50, but it has NO sound board.

If you want one converted its about £80, (then you add the cost of buying the saber in the 1st place. Another £50-£80) if you want to buy one thats already converted with sounds its £120

Yes JQ lightsabers! Well I dont know when you last brought from JQ but I recently asked about a custom made/Force FX coversion and they gave me the option of a luke or vader soundboard depending on blade colour and sound preference.

Got it from Ultrasabers on eBay. It is very strong as its made for dueling. You can give it quite a bit of punishment without breaking any of the LED's in the blade as there are none. It also has a removable blade so you can display only the hilt.(or wear it if you want as part of a costume)

To be honest mate, I think you've wasted your money on the overall price of conversion. The brightness is hardly a huge difference espesh to pay for shipping to britain. And with you admitting the anakin is louder, loosing the attract up and down of light, and making it lighter (bad thing for me) just puts me off completely. And anyway, I know a company who convert ALL sabers with an updated Luxeon LED from sony who live are based in south wales, they'd do what you have for £50! So unlucky.
