I had one of these and it stopped working after a few weeks which was pretty disappointing. I don't know what's wrong with it.

i did put a coin on the top plasma ball then my finger was a little bit touched the coin and burned my finger skin black mark and smell my finger stink

@bestamerica you should NEVER put metallic objects on plasma balls. They will create a hot spot on the dome and you will - as you did - burn yourself. It also risks the dome rupturing and breaking your plasma ball!

And after touching that your hands are stinky :( I had one of those... broke it in the end... but whenever I touched it and then smelled my hand it smelled bad. I hate those things because of that, I like my hands clean... No wonder I've broken it :)

do these things die out after a short while?? because in science class i heard that plasma doesnt last forever......but then again nothing last forever....but is this...like....going to die after a week or so?

I have a plasma ball and i know they dont die... unless maybe if you left it on for a really long time..
