  • is it good as whole because i might get this for the ps3 and 360 for street fighter 4 and etc

  • I think I'm gonna stick to the Madcatz.

  • You have to use three fingers for the buttons not two.

  • @coolguy681 i know right seems like a rookie move

  • ex2 is too small imo, Making a custom stick is the easiest thing in the world once you figure out how to solder properly.

  • I want that arcade fighting stick so bad! SO BAD!!

  • How much is the hori ex2 fight stick ??? plss send me a msg to my gamertag (SoloFatty911) and thks .

  • l2play.

  • not bad very good at ryu

  • please watch daigo vids to see a bad ass ryu.

  • cept diago doesn't play SF2T, so if you want to see a bad ass ryu in SF2T go watch watson or Tomo (good luck on finding footage of tomo though)

  • i mean when he did play

  • thats what I'm saying, Diago has a great ryu in ST, and SFA3 and SF4, but he didn't get into fighting games until vampire savior which was several years after SF2T came out. So we don't know how good his ryu would have been. Though OGs from that era say that he doesn't compare to tomo.

  • Is there a ps3 adapter I can get at a store for this Hori X2 I already own it but some competitions are ps3 and i cant use my stick for the those. Sucks.

  • You can mod the stick to work on PS3

  • Thankx. i asked other people and they send you couldn't... Any knowledge on how to do it?

  • You can get a mod kit on ebay... it comes with instructions.

  • can u give a link of where i can find this dual system mod kit? it would be very helpful.

  • Thats a cool stick but not cool for characters that require quarter circle motions. These sticks are absolutley perfect for charge characters since the gate is 4 way. or just get the 8 way gate and your all set.

  • Hey bro, where did you get your hori stick at?

  • I'm selling mine on ebay.

  • Yes, please do post a vid of the Hori in action with SF4, there are none as of yet!

  • I will be posting one very soon.

  • the unit looks to light, i seems like your restraining yourself from moving the unit all over the place.

I dont think ill be able to hold back enough, would be cool if you could add weight to it

  • If sliding is a problem, adding rubber feet to the bottom helps tremendously, and it's an easier mod than putting in a ballast.

  • i see, thanks

  • Also if you can could you put up some vides with this fighting pad on Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe.

  • this controller sux

  • keep us posted on how it is on SF4

i tried gettin the fight stick and fight pads but all sold out i hate playin it on the regular controller

  • I am going to get Street fighter 4 tomorrow

    :D

  • Is the Stick's gate Square or Octagonal?

  • It's square, but it's a pretty easy and cheap mod to order an octagonal one off of Lizard Lick (Sanwa GT-Y) and replace it. Just takes a little bit of drilling and you need to get some new screws from a hardware store. I also got a bat top and adapter for this controller. Works like a dream now.

  • And how are Hori's buttons?

I've heard bad things about sticky buttons and after getting a Japanese IIDX controller, sticky keys are the last thing I want to be spending my money on...

  • They're not the best, but not the worst either. For the price, I'm willing to put up with em for now (if you're lucky you can find the stick at gamestop/EB for $39.99 right now). Unfortunately the buttons aren't quite as easy a mod because they're soldered directly to the board... but it's still doable.

  • Yeah, I'm not in the US, I'd be pretty damn lucky if I could find one.

  • Tell me about it im in the UK i jsut spent a bomb on one still gotta mod the thing eventually aswel.

  • Did you manage to get one in a store?

Capcom dropped it's AU and NZ distributor for THQ Australia like a week before the game was released, I'm damn lucky this game is a popular hit or it might have gotten a huge delay.

On top of that all the stores here who were getting the TE aren't anymore.

  • nah in the end i had to go to ebay and paid alot more than i should have but itll be worth it.

i find pads garbage for fighters lol

  • will this be perfect for street fighter 4 ?

  • I sure hope so. I will find out next week when I get the game.

  • Oh hell ya its perfect and cheaper...The TE and SE SF4 sticks about about the same.Only thing is that they have a turbo setting for all those cheaters out there and 2 extra buttons that would make no use whats so ever

  • Reall nice man - I'm curious; are you planning on buying the Standard/Tournament MadCatz sticks?

  • The tournament stick looks awesome. Hopefully in the near future I will pick one up.

  • Where did you get the stick from?

  • My in-laws got it for me last year. They went to every game store and could not find one. They ended up buying it at amazon

  • Have you had any problems w/ the EX2 breaking? I'm considering getting one and some people have complained that it breaks after a while.

  • man i just ordered it and mine came with a bunch of air bubbles and some scratches :/

  • i just ordered this online i cant wait to start playing it with SF IV

  • me 2

i had to order this too... the sf4 one was sold out :(

  • Pickin up the "baby" madcatz (SFIV $70 stick) for SFIV. You should get one! haha. Informative vid because I was in the hunt for an EX2 for a while and it's always nice to see a product in action!

  • i got this a couple of weeks ago. WORTH EVERY FREAKIN PENNY.

  • hey!! you're pretty good!!

  • Thanks! SF II is one of my favorite games.

  • ive never owned a hori before and im planing to get one soon and i was curious to know what are the turbo buttons for?

  • have you seen the FS3 ? pretty nice arcade like but this? LMAO

i respect all consoles but this cont is LAME

    Fighting Stick 3 =]

  • ...are you serious?

FS3 is SO garbage. It's not even worth picking it up and modding it, it's a piece of junk. The EX2 is at least decent.

  • The fighting stick 3 i really bad, I ended up selling mine to my friends and Buying the Hori Real Arcade pro 3 instead. THAT is the better stick for the PS3

  • you should look into modifications, those buttons sound clunky

  • lrn2read the description

  • is this stick the same as the soulcaliber 4 stick??

  • yes .. just different graphic on the front

  • There's a way you can mod the fighting stick

  • very nice, awesome show of skills!

  • HI would you please post what button configuration you used for the EX2 stick?

    THanks!

  • nUb

  • Excellent display, both of skill and demonstrating the performance of the arcade stick. If I see you playing online I'll challenge you not only to test you, but also to test myself, I could use a good lesson or two. You should consider doing some reviews for places like IGN because some of theirs are not informative enough, then again thats my opinion. Great job 5/5

  • I learned SF2 on the Genesis 6-button controller and I find myself having much more difficulty pulling off rotational moves (Ryu, etc) on the Hori stick. Also, I tend to jump straight up when I want to jump forwards. Is this a normal adjustment thing or am I just retarded? I'm looking forward to HD Remix's more forgiving inputs.

  • jumping problems are usually just from lack of experience on a stick. the special move issues could be experience, controller, or whichever version of sf you're playing. I haven't played remix, but if you have problems with 3rd strike, alpha, or a sfii before super sf, it's probably not the game, rather your mechanics or controller.

  • does this work good on ultimate mortal kombat 3

  • one of the best Hori EX2 fighting stick reviews I've seen. thanks so much! I can get a really clear insight on how the product performs. I just would like to know one thing. Maybe its just me, but it looks like there is a slight delay whenever you do a move. Perhaps its the video doing that? Can you clarify? thx in advance for any info.

  • whats a good stick for 2d fighters..

  • Few questions: is it a square or circle joystick? Are the buttons sanwa? And if anyone can tell me, how does the Hori EX2 compare with other arcade sticks, espically the Real Arcade Pro 2? I own the Pro 2 (PS2) and I'm thinking of modding it for the 360, but I dont want to do that if this is any good. the EX2 is quite a bit cheaper, which makes me think that the EX2 isn't made with sanwa parts and its much less quality. Am I right, or is the EX2 cheaper simply because its smaller?

  • its not made with sanwa buttons and it is a square joystick

i suggest u mod ur ps2 hori pro 2 but just dont fuk it up cuz i kno it cost u like $150 bucs

  • yea im loving this hori stick gd for playin SF and atm using it to play castle crashers not bad but cant wait for the hd remix

  • Bad ass! Not a huge fan of the square gate, but I do love the concave buttons and the layout. To answer everyones question, yes it works with windows. I was able to also use it on ubuntu after I found a hack for it.

  • Just ordered one to play some Street Fighter II and SoulCalibur, until Street Fighter IV comes out.

  • Good move! Also the SF II HD remix will be coming out very soon!

  • have you tried holding the joystick like a glass wine? Takes practice but most JP players do it that way.

  • looks awesome, rather than the usual controller, more...authentic, yay

  • This Hori EX2 Fighting Stick works on PC too? I have SF2 on PC and i need a good arcade stick, please reply.:)

  • I was told that the 360 controllers (or in this case 360 arcade sticks) have windows drivers already installed into them. I have yet to try this out for myself. Perhaps someone out there can confirm if this is true and if you can use the EX2 360 HORI stick on the pc.

  • It is definitely possible to use this stick on PC. Some applications may require a driver called XBCD though.

  • This is not meant to be an insult but you have a really weird way of holding the stick imo. You also use only your index finger for the buttons. I use index, middle, and ring.

  • just ordered me one of these, the soul caliber iv one.

  • You are going to love it!

  • this tool is great!

i use one myself to smash these guys!

    DanMan718

  • the clicks make it better really

they sound better and just give the game more feel

  • i dont see how this is easier/better to use then a controller

  • It works a lot better for me than the standard controller. The special moves are much easier to pull off.

  • More fingers are over more buttons reducing input speed for moves and actions. Sounds small but makes a lot of difference in tournament play.

  • Wow! That's noisy.

  • If you have the volume at a normal level (in this video the volume is on low) the noise is not that big a deal (imo).

  • the noise just gives me momeries of the old SF2 arcade xD

  • hey man, does the case move around alot, like if i put it on a desk to play can it hold itself down?

  • You kick ass. You know if your controller would work for arcade games like contra and galaga on the 360?

  • It worked great for me when I played Contra. I have yet to play it with Galaga.

  • click click click click click click...love it....

  • Cheers! been looking for a vid of someone using this stick.

  • thanks.
