  • No, the material is polyplastic material. We do have Wax printers available, manufactured by 3D Systems visit google Projet-cp-3000-3d-wax-pattern-printer

  • is that a thermojet Printer?

  • Now you just need to download a car from the internet and you are done

  • thanks :)

  • I want to print out the internet.

  • A state-of-the-art technology with a 1980s tutorial.

  • Why is everyone talking about fasteners? There is no need for a fastener if the printer is able to print the way I see depicted in this and all other videos I have seen. Why use fasteners to combine parts that are easier produced on their own, top sides, bottom, etc. The 3D printer and print these all as one part if needed. I don't care about your argument, but if the basis of it is fasteners then you are all arguing the wrong points.

  • Yo dawg I heard you like printing so I got you a printer that can print a printer so you can your print while you print while you print dawg.

  • print me a car motherfuckers

  • @kareldezoonvanbennie You can't print you own 3d printer. Contrary to whatever nonsense Rep Rap or MakerBot claim. No single 3d printer is going to make metal screws, plastic parts, wires, and then assemble itself. This is not the Matrix.

  • @HalfPricePrototypes Who says it 'has' to print screws? They're not the only kind of fastener around. Who says that printing conductive substances isn't only a couple of years away? granted, this thing will never be able to print out itself because its build platform would have to be bigger than itself, but a machine that can prit out all its own parts is for all intensive purposes self-replicating.

  • @Coodude26 that guy doesn't know his shit stereolithography / laser sintering technologies can already print transistors and circuits, as well as biosensors and ready to use drones, and if he thinks that a self replicating 3d printer is not coming within the next decade then he hasn't heard of the singularity.

  • @Holyshiite911 <3 Singularity

  • @Holyshiite911 Before any of you start making comments as to my credentials, maybe you should ask. I know all about SLS, DMLS, SLA, MJM, DLP, 3DP, FDM etc etc. I'm pretty confident my background in 3dp is stronger than yours, but that's just an opinion. Why don't you ask Todd Grimm or Terry Wholers and see what they think about the subject?

Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should. Let's think about the practicality of this concept.

  • @Coodude26 you're right ideally the envelope would be the size of the machine. Since we are talking about 3d printing and not robotics, it would not be self replicating. Combining a multitude of technologies you 3d print all the parts today and even incorporate robotics to assemble. My point is that no single machine is self replicating. In regards to what is a couple years away, well quite frankly I know what is being released in the next 2 years.

  • @HalfPricePrototypes Although virtually any CNC and/or additive CNC is able to reproduce itself, you would just have to attach the circuits, wires ,motors etc.

  • Awesome resolution. Poor heat resistance :( Especially in Florida. Build times are a nightmare, but that's the trade off for high-res. It builds 20x more layers than an FDM. Check out Half Price Prototypes for instant quotes for Z Corp if shopping around.

  • They had this tech for like 20 years now, although, granted, today's version is much better.

  • This somehow reminds me of an episode of "The Fairly Odd Parents" where Timmy chooses something from a catalog, scans it, and prints it out. :)

  • It's only a 1st step before they'll be able to pront electronics etc. han you buy a printer and print out a working ipod.

  • Someone made reprap print with soldering iron,o'course it was not very good in quality, but still!

  • Check some of the nanotech vids-- you may be able to build diamonds at home if your printer isn't out of carbon atoms.

  • tea, hot, earl gray XD

  • Buy a 3d printer, and print 3d printers to save cash. I'm a GENIUS!

  • It doesn't print mechanics DUH~!

  • While it wouldn't print electronics, you can certainly make cases, and other mechanical components to house the electronics, making the manufacture of further printers that much easier.

  • awsume

  • LOL this exist now!

  • Aqui un atasco de papel... quiero decir, composite puede ser jodido xD y lo que es peor muy caro!!! 1€ o 2€ por pulgada cúbica =(

  • Hello 3d printing. Good bye human sculptor.

  • Build one... look up Reprap robots

  • 26,000 usd

  • o.O i want one

  • print out your own 3d printer :)

  • HAHAHA!...good job

  • Haha. The RepRap 3d printer actually does that. Its open source and you're encouraged to print 2 printers when you first get the machine and sell them at cost price

  • but which is the material used?

  • The RepRaps results are extremely course at this point in time. It's fun to play around with but it has very limited potential in materials and accuracy.

  • @kareldezoonvanbennie what came first, the 3D print or the 3D printer? lol!

  • @kareldezoonvanbennie

    BRILLIANT

  • printer research ( dot ) com has some links I think

  • I just realised lol, tons of companies will probably have unsellable items because everyones making em at home :P

  • In theory yes, however everything being made here is made out of a few different materials and the printer is expensive to buy and you have to pay for the materials... Overall many decades will pass before something like this actually makes mass produced objects obsolete.

  • Cool still :O

  • Think of all the free stuff you can make with this thing!

Well, apart from IT'S actuall price and the price of the glue/plastic/whatever you fill it with...

    Nevermind :(

  • Printer: BLEGH....BLEGH....BLEGH....BLEGH

It needs to learn to control its drinking...

  • @cyborgtroy roflmao!!! so true XD

  • it's probably going to collect dust with my cocktail mixer

  • I have got to get me one of these.
