RORO freight trains are often to be seen in Switzerland and Austria, especially on the Alpine corridors (Lötschberg, St. Gotthard, Brenner, Tauern and Semmering). All these corridors have double track and are electrified, because traffic is very frequent (for example: on the Saint Gotthard corridor trains pass every 2 or 3 minutes, both southbound and northbound).
