Well, personally I don't like the term "keytar' to discribe these instrument. A MIDI controller is a more appropriate name to me. Also, even though I am a big Roland fan, especially the D-50, I like only two remote keyboard contollers, namely: Yamaha KX5 and Casio AZ-1. They have an used AZ-1 in the music store close by. Beautifully looking keyboard. White color, and nice 80's style design.  Ditto for the KX5, but with smaller keys and Yamaha classic black/green livery. Good old days...

Unfortunately, Roland stop making it. The Roland Ax-7s (the latest of all models in white) sell horrendously over a grand on Ebay. (Before Roland took it out in the market, They use to sell for $399.00 new)! Older models sell for less on ebay.
